School of Mathematics and Computer Sciences Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur Workshop on Analysis and Geometry th th 13 and 14 February 2015 About the Workshop This workshop is one of the initiatives by the Department of Mathematics to bring in eminent mathematicians and teachers to Central University of Tamil Nadu. This is also a part of academic outreach from our University. This workshop will feature lectures by Prof. S. Kumaresan, a great teacher and very good expositor of mathematical concepts. About the Speaker Professor S. Kumaresan Prof. S. Kumaresan is presently the Dean, School of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. He has received INSA teacher award 2013 for excellence in teaching. He is the Director of MTTS Programme (www.mtts.org.in) and he is organizing it successfully since 1993. He has authored several books, research and expository articles. He is a recipient of C. L. Chandana Award of Indo-Canadian Math. Foundation. He is member of various national level bodies including National Board for Higher Mathematics, DST-FIST. Eligibility and How to apply Final/prefinal year IMSc, M.Sc., and M.Phil students shall apply for this workshop. Completed applications(available th in www.cutn.ac.in website) should reach the convenors latest by 7 February 2015.
