• Norman Regional is certified through The Joint Commission as a Primary
Stroke Center, meeting strict criteria for timely and quality handling of
stroke patients accessing our Emergency Departments.
• The HealthPlex’s Chest Pain Center is accredited from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC) –
one of the few accredited centers in the state.
• Our Orthopedics Program has Disease Specific Certifications from the Joint Commission in Total Knee
Replacement, Total Hip Replacement and Hip Fracture. We are a Healthgrades Five-Star Recipient for Total
Knee Replacement, Hip Fracture Treatment, Total Hip Replacement, and Back Surgery. We have received the
Healthgrades Orthopedic Surgery Excellence and Joint Replacement Excellence Awards.
• Norman Regional Health System is the winner of the 2014 Modern Healthcare & Advertising Age Healthcare
Marketing IMPACT Award. We were nationally recognized within the category of Community Outreach for
our response to the May 20, 2013 tornado.
• We have been honored as one of the country’s Top 25 “2013 Most Improved, Most Wired Health Systems”
by Hospital and Health Networks Magazine based on the “Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study,”
highlighting our utilization of smart technology to support patient care.
• We received two Regional VHA Awards in 2013 – Emergency Department Award for High Performance and
Clinical Process Award related to pneumonia treatment.
• We received the 2014 Women’s Choice Award for being voted one of America’s Best Hospitals for
Orthopedics by women.
• Norman Regional recently expanded several areas allowing patients to receive the best care available right
here in Norman. At Norman Regional Hospital, our Rehabilitation Center underwent a $1.4 million remodel
and our Behavioral Medicine unit moved to a newly renovated floor. At Norman Regional HealthPlex, the fifth
floor has been built out to accommodate heart services, adding an additional floor dedicated to patient care.

Norman Regional Hospital
• Our 219 bed full-service hospital is located in east Norman and serves patients
throughout central and south Oklahoma.
Oklahoma, and is located 17 miles south of downtown Oklahoma City.
Norman Regional HealthPlex
• Our 168 bed specialty hospital is home to the Heart Hospital, Women’s & Children’s,
and Orthopedic & Spine Services.
• We are located on a 95 acre campus adjacent to I-35 at Tecumseh Road.
• The HealthPlex campus includes our Heart Plaza and a medical office building
with numerous physician offices and outpatient services.
Norman Regional Moore – Emergency and Outpatient Services
• The Norman Regional Moore (formerly “Moore Medical Center”) campus includes
a freestanding Emergency Department and Outpatient Services (Lab, Imaging, &
Physical Therapy).
• A new facility, to include physician offices, is expected to open in early 2016.

Accredited Chest Pain Center
Norman Regional’s HealthPlex hospital has received Chest Pain Center Accreditation
from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC), an international organization
that focuses on transforming cardiovascular care by assisting facilities in their effort
to create communities of excellence that bring together quality, cost and
patient satisfaction.
The Norman Regional HealthPlex is the only hospital in the Oklahoma City metro
area to have achieved this level of national recognition.
• Reducing the time from onset of symptoms to diagnosis and treatment.
• Treating patients more quickly during the critical window of time when the integrity of the heart muscle
can be preserved.
• Monitoring patients when it is not certain if they are having a heart attack to ensure that they are not
sent home too quickly or needlessly admitted to the hospital.

has begun on Norman Regional Moore. This $29 million dollar, state-of-the-art medical facility is
designed to meet the city’s current needs and be ready for future growth.

Our program offers services during the day which allows
patients to return to their homes in the afternoon. Inspirations
provides three group therapy sessions a day that incorporate
fun and friendliness while discussing life’s victories and
challenges.
Sharing the mission and vision of Norman Regional Health
System, our goal in Behavioral Medicine is to provide a
multidisciplinary, team approach to ensure our patients
receive the most effective care.
A relaxed, comfortable environment is provided where
patients are encouraged to participate in groups designed to
promote achievement of individualized treatment goals.
Participants are served lunch and provided snack breaks
between sessions. Inspirations provides bathroom assistance
to meet each patient’s individual needs. Services are
approved and monitored by a physician.
Our board eligible and certified psychiatrists, psychologists,
psychiatric social workers, licensed professional
counselors, and registered nurses are here for you.
