An amazing 2014 and an even more promising 2015 for USMEV. After reaching #28 in the
Traxsource Deep House list and staying there for 6 weeks, he was predicted as one of the
15 Spanish artists to look at by the leading Latin American music publication Remezcla,
and “Rondure EP” (MBF Ltd, 2014) was also described as “deep house for fine ears” by
the prestigious magazine DJ Mag, which rated the release with an outstanding 8'5. He has
at least five more releases planned for 2015, as well as some interesting projects that
include a remix for Trulz&Robin on Cymasonic, and a new maxi with Bleu Renee (with
whom he worked on “Twilight Room”, on Bogota Records, including remixes by JT
Donaldson, Chuck Love and Slamer, that earned USMEV further international recognition.
Xavi Altés aka USMEV was born in Barcelona and still lives in the great city. He learned to
play the piano and guitar at the conservatory during his childhood. With a musical
background he started playing as a dj and producing at the age of 16, releasing his first
tracks in 2001. Some of his releases ended up on labels as MBF Ltd (DE), Resopal
Schallware (DE), Cymasonic (NO), Bogota Records (NO), Traum Schallplatten (DE) or
Monza Ibiza Records (ES). Has played with artists such as Redshape, Anton Pieete, Lee
Van Dowsky, Mirko Loko, Fairmont, Luna City Express and Pablo Bolivar; and his releases
received the support from artists such as Laurent Garnier, Luciano, Richie Hawtin, Stacey
Pullen, Joseph Capriati, Agoria, Marco Carola and Danny Tenaglia, among others.
