Under the title “Exceptional art by exceptional musicians,” Bertram Engel (legendary German drummer who, for 38 years, has
been playing for Peter Maffay and Udo Lindenberg and who
has played for such international artists as Robert Palmer, Joe
Cocker, Eric Burdon and Bruce Springsteen to name but a few)
and Petra Engel (gallery owner and interior designer) have created a concept exhibition: “Musicians who paint.” During their
years of working in the music industry, both Bertram and Petra

45th INTERNATIONAL GANGHOFER RACE AND MINI
GANGHOFER RACE
The Leutasch International Ganghofer Race can justifiably be
described as one of the most testing cross-country runs in its
class, and is a highlight of the event calendar for many enthusiastic recreational runners. Running in 25 km, 50 km classic
categories as well as skating for 20 km or 42 km, participants
compete for the coveted Ganghofer Trophy and significant prize money. As well as a personalised starting number (advance
registration necessary), each participant receives a well-filled
starting package. Saturday, meanwhile, is devoted to the ‘MiniGanghofer Trail’, which is all about the youngest cross-country
runners. The young participants can expect to receive valuable prizes and have a huge amount of fun while doing so. An
attractive main programme is also provided off the Trail itself.
Participants have the chance to test out the very latest materials being used by top cross-country runners all weekend, or
to take part in a waxing course. And on Saturday and Sunday,
the cross-country runner can all refill those empty stomachs at
free sausage and noodle parties. After the race, the ErlebnisWelt Alpenbad Leutasch adventure pool centre invites all participants to recover for two hours free of charge in the different
