Mon., Feb. 9 - Annual Parent meeting 7:00 PM!
Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends;
Tues., Feb 10 - Home/School Meeting 7:00!
Many of you were able to come to our play, Shrek, last Thursday
or Friday night. It was a wonderful production with all of our 7th
and 8th grade students participating. Many, many, many times
people ask me why SWS? Why is SWS a unique school? Well, for
those who saw the play - this is the reason why….. SWS builds
confidence in students so that they can stretch themselves to do
things they never would have imagined! Just like acting and
singing a solo in front of several hundred people, our school
builds strong character in students. Students who leave SWS
after the 8th grade are secure in their abilities, have high
standards to achieve, seek to comfort the world around them and
are able to handle what comes at them. We are confident that
our graduates are prepared beyond the norm to move into high
school. Ask one of the high school kids who graduated from our
school! They will testify that this is true and they were well
prepared for high school and for the situations of life. At the play
on Thursday evening, many of our high school graduates came
back to watch. They fondly remembered their beginning days
when they had the opportunity to shine in their 7th and 8th
grade play. Our play is a fun event that represents the teamwork
of teachers and students sharing and growing together in our
faith-filled school.

Ice Fishing Tickets - Contest takes place on

Ten tickets for dinner to sell or buy went out to all
Did you sell your tickets yet? Each family received $25 in
tickets . The success of the event requires that we
sell as many of the $1 tickets as we can. This is how
we make our profit.!

be used for either lunch or dinner. They cannot be used
for the delivery service that is offered. Beer will be served
this year during the dinner hours.!
Please turn in your $25 and your ticket
stubs now! Get additional tickets in the
office.

still in need of a few helpers

School Registration for 2015
Registration forms for classes for fall 2015 will go
out this week. It is critical that ALL registration
forms come back to us by the end of February. !
Please come to the parent meeting to learn more.!

Tuition Awards
Tuition Assistance
All school families who are concerned about the ability to
pay tuition in our school are highly encouraged to apply for
tuition assistance. Go to TADS.com This is an outside
agency who will look at your financial need and make a
recommendation to the school. The program is completely
confidential. SWS has been using TADS for many years.!
If you are uncomfortable with this process, PLEASE speak
with Kim Doyle and a plan will be worked out so that you
are able to manage the financial !

Branch W056 of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Assn.
(FCSLA) will again be awarding several $200 tuition
awards to students, grades 1-8 attending a Catholic
elementary school. To qualify, the student must be a
member of FCSLA Branch W056 in Lonsdale. Eligible!
students should contact Milton A. Trnka at 507-744-2655
or by email: [email protected] for an application.
Application deadline is Feb. 19th. The winners will be
randomly drawn from the applications received.

Fun beer! Do not send this to school with a child! Please drop off!!
2. Pictures of “The Big One” - fish, deer, other animals - put a description
or the stats. of your catch on a note with the picture. - little fish and animals
in your pictures are great too.!
3. Need Christmas Trees - all sizes ( but do not drop off until after February
16)!
4. Group Event Sponsors - Can you sponsor an outing for a small or a large
group. A group event is a party that takes place at some point after the
auction is over!!
5. Donate a Silent Auction Items and Live Auction bigger items. !
