GRADING/EVALUATION Category MyMathLab Homework Quizzes Tests Final Exam TOTAL Percent of Final Grade 10 10 60 20 100 Homework Each section has a MyMathLab assignment, a book assignment, or both. Each MyMathLab assignment will be weighted equally. The written homework will not be collected but the questions will be on the test and the quizzes. Quizzes There are ten (10) quizzes throughout the semester. They are either administered through MyMathLab or distributed in class to be completed outside of class. Either way, the quiz problems are similar to those encountered in homework. There is also a cumulative quiz. Tests There are four (4) tests. There are no make-up tests. If a student misses a test, the grade for that test is 0. See final exam. Final Exam There is a comprehensive final exam. The final exam grade also replaces the lowest test grade if doing so is to the student’s advantage. I do not curve grades; I do not “give” grades. You earn what you get so plan to work accordingly.
