Annual Highlights – McGill Engineering Career Centre Internships and Coops Industry Recruitment on Campus In the 2013-14 academic year, 578 engineering students participated in either internships or co-op work terms through the Engineering Internship Program (EIP), the Mining and Materials Co-op programs and the McGill Institute for Aerospace Engineering (MIAE). The Engineering Career Centre, in conjunction with engineering students, organized the fully booked McGill Engineering & Technology Career Fairs, a 2-day event in Fall 2013 and a 1-day event in Winter 2014. • Over last year, the number of employers hiring interns (Engineering Internship Program only) increased by 19%. • In 2013-2014, 49% of engineering students graduated with at least one 4-month internship or coop.
