FNLA #2 THREE DAY KANSAS HUNT FOR EASTERN WILD
TURKEY FOR A YOUTH HUNTER
Wes Traul from Kansas Unlimited has generously donated a three day Eastern wild
turkey hunt for one youth hunter in Kansas. This hunt is a 2x1 archery or shotgun
hunt during the months of April or May, 2015. Kansas is home to a thriving
Eastern wild turkey population. The birds are seen in both the croplands and
timber of the state. Turkey hunting is relatively new to the state of Kansas so the
birds are not call shy, as they are in the more traditional hunting strongholds. This
donation can be upgraded to include more hunters, non-hunters, or a second bird
per the outfitter’s price list. This donation also includes lodge accommodations
and three meals daily. The winning bidder is responsible for a Kansas license and
turkey tag, which is approximately $210. The winning bidder must also bring a
second full paying adult hunter with them at $850.00. This is a great
opportunity for a father/mother and son/daughter to experience turkey hunting in
Kansas. Please stop by the Kansas Unlimited booth and talk with Wes Traul about
this great family hunt. The Novi chapter would like to thank Kansas Unlimited for
this 100% donation.

FNLA #28 BRONZE SCULPTURE OF ELEPHANT WITH
MARBLE BASE
Portofino of the Lakes has generously donated this beautiful bronze sculpture of an
elephant on a marble base. This piece of art was created by Miguel Fernando
Lopez a brilliant Portuguese artist and sculptor who was born in 1955. Growing
up, Miguel figured to follow in the footsteps of many young men in Portugal and
join the military. However, his passion for his sculpting hobby drew him away
from the military and into the fine arts at the local university. Miguel still works as
a freelance artist and takes his relationships with his clients very seriously. He still
stays in contact with his very first client, a German entrepreneur. This item is
located on the table next to the stage. The Novi chapter would like to thank
Portofino of the Lakes for this 100% donation.

The mission of the Novi Chapter of Safari Club International
is to promote a public understanding and acceptance of sport
hunting as an effective tool for wildlife conservation through
educational information and programs. The Novi Chapter is
a 501c3 charitable organization that strives to support sport
hunting and conservation. This is done mainly through our
many educational programs for youth and teachers. We exist
because of people like you, who dedicate your time and
money to support events such as this weekend’s Annual
Fundraiser and Banquet. Thank you for your continued
