TREND WATCH
The SS15 catwalks at London Fashion Week were awash
with statement jewellery; from stacked wristwear and
chunky chokers, to beaded necklaces and daring gemstone
pieces. Featuring clashed bold designs with even bolder
clothes to capture the experimental London aesthetic.
Sixties-style beaded pieces in eye-catching shades of
scarlet, marsala and black took the limelight. With leatherlook bangles taking the gothic look to extreme lengths.
Gemstones played a significant part on the runway with
the arrival of Smokey Quartz, Pearls and rough cut gems
all complimenting bold mixed metals and leather ascents.

family, containing iron in its chemical composition. The
name amethyst derives from the Greek “a methustos” meaning
