Does the unit need to be brought in to perform a service? If so
what is the cost?
Is a replacement unit required while the unit is in for service? If so
what is the cost?
Is there a loss of revenue during the service time? If so what is the
amount?
What is the frequency of a lube episode?
What is the labour rate and the time required to do a
service?
What is the total cost to have a service tech manually

Why Automate Lubrication?
(cont.)
– What is the average service life of the cams, slacks, Kompensator,
5th wheel head, and any other grease-able components?
– Can service intervals be extended using automated lubrication as a
tool? What are the savings?
– Are we preventing components from wearing out? Which
components? What is the replacement value?
– How is the resale value of the truck/equipment affected by automated
lubrication?
– What is the value of the automatic lubrication system at the end of its
life cycle?
– Will increased machine efficiency reduce energy costs?
– Will increased machine efficiency and reduced downtime increase
production throughput and profit?

Technician’s safety
– Safety what are the risks associated with manual lubrication?
» Climbing on or going underneath raised boxes
» Climbing on heavy equipment
» Ladders required to grease some
equipment (garbage packers,
vacuum trucks, etc
Vehicle safety
– Safety by improved equipment performance:
» Vehicle handling and steering
» ABS and brake response
» Leaf spring performance
» 5th wheel steering

Lubecore’s Maintenance Friendly
Features
» Lubecore automated lubrication systems are
designed with the mechanic in mind.
» A mechanic is the most important part of a good
Preventative Maintenance program.
» Here are some important features that save time
and money over the years.
Small, agile team?
33
© Lubecore International Inc.
» We provide a good system that is easy to work with
for the trained mechanic.
Automatic Low Level Shut Off
» The Automatic Low Level Shutoff Switch will stop
the pump from cycling once the grease in the
reservoir has reached the minimum level.
34
© Lubecore International Inc.
» The pump is unable to pump itself empty, and will
not suck in air which would require a service to
bleed the pump and mainline.
Why Automatic Low Level Shut Off?
35
© Lubecore International Inc.
» Without an Automatic Low Level Shutoff Switch, you will
be left with two problems.
1. The air trapped in the system will cause the injectors
to stop firing.
2. The time to bleed the system properly. A minimum
of one hour required to do this properly.
Low Level Warning
» A low level in the system will produce an audible
alarm and a flashing LED for 15 seconds at the
beginning of each cycle.
36
© Lubecore International Inc.
» After the initial cycle alarm takes place, each
cycle from then on will show a flashing LED as an
indication to the driver that there is a low level
Electronic Timer
Monitoring System
» Uses a real time clock to track and
record system performance
» Performance reports easily available
for review
37
© Lubecore International Inc.
» With Single Line and Progressive only
LED on Solenoid
» The LED on the solenoid allows for a quick and
easy check for continuity in the system.
» Another feature designed to reduce the amount
of time a mechanic has to spend maintaining
this system.
Bright LED indicates
solenoid is functioning.
38
© Lubecore International Inc.
Dim LED indicates
continuity problem.
Manual Override Valve
on the Solenoid
39
© Lubecore International Inc.
» This feature allows for a quick check of the
system without having to climb in the cab and
cycle the system using the timer.
Heavy Duty Wiring Harness
» The wire harness installed on Lubecore’s
Automated Lubrication System is a heavy gauge
with tight sealed Deutsch connections.
40
© Lubecore International Inc.
» The high quality totally sealed connection
prevents corrosion and the need for
maintenance to the system due to electrical
failure.
Heavy Duty Inlet Filter
» The filter will not collapse
and allow contaminants into
the pump.
» This will in turn stop dirt
from entering your system.
41
© Lubecore International Inc.
» It will stop the flow of grease
even when forced by a 50:1
air operated pump.
The Real World Application
42
© Lubecore International Inc.
• Field Lubrication and service
Stainless Steel Follower Plate
43
© Lubecore International Inc.
» To resist corrosion from moisture and
contaminants. The follower plate keeps the
grease level constant and free of air pockets.
Why have a Stainless Steel
Follower Plate?
» Clearly indicates grease level
» Protects grease from oxygen
and oxidation
» Protects grease from water
and de-icing fluid
» Prevents funneling
» Allows for low level indication an automatic low
level shut off
44
© Lubecore International Inc.
» Protects grease from dust
Break Proof Makralon® Reservoir
» Requires no maintenance for the mechanic and
stays clear allowing the mechanic to do a quick
visual check of grease level.
45
© Lubecore International Inc.
» Makralon® does not crack when impacted by rocks
in sub-zero temperatures.
Korilla Hose
» The Korilla Hose is a very tough flexible
high pressure hose for use with SS crimp
style clamps.
» Korilla is especially beneficial in areas
where there is a lot of movement or the
lubrication point is exposed to harm
The Korilla hose is very
flexible which makes it easy
to run lines where needed.
Easy to Cut
The Korilla hose can be cut with
a knife, pruning scissors or
Synflex cutters
Easy to Insert Fitting
The barbed inserts are
inserted either by hand or
using a Lubecore Insertion
tool depending on which
insert is being used
Easy to Crimp
The stainless steel crimp style
clamps can be crimped with
standard tools.
