FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Sarah Palermo, Communications and Outreach Manager New Hampshire Legal Assistance (603) 223-9750, ext. 2824 [email protected] Concord, NH (Feb. 17, 2015): New Hampshire Legal Assistance (NHLA) is pleased to announce the recent hire of Kathryn Cox as a staff attorney at the NHLA Manchester office. NHLA staff and board members conducted an extensive search for this position and were impressed with Cox’s experience and passion for helping low-income clients find equal justice before the law. NHLA is a statewide nonprofit law firm that represents low-income and elderly clients in civil cases that impact their basic needs. Cox comes to NHLA after five years as a public defender with the Committee for Public Counsel Services in Massachusetts, most recently with the Juvenile Court unit in Lowell, Mass. She will contribute to our work on behalf of unemployment benefit recipients and before the Public Utilities Commission. Cox is graduated cum laude from Suffolk Law School in 2009, where she was a recipient of the Suffolk Public Interest Law Group Fellowship, and three-time member of the Dean’s List. She received a bachelor of arts degree in religion with a minor in Urban Studies from The Colorado College in 2006. “During the years that Katie worked as a public defender in Massachusetts, she demonstrated a fierce commitment to protecting the rights of under-privileged and indigent individuals. We’re confident she’ll bring the same level of passion and zeal in her representation of NHLA’s lowincome and vulnerable clients,” said Lynne Parker, NHLA executive director. #### Follow us on Twitter Like us on Facebook
