2015-2016 Registration Rising 7th Graders Registration Timeline: Students will select courses homeroom on February 24. Students will receive list of course requests with their 3rd 9-weeks report card on April 8. Courses for 7th Graders: All 7th grade students will take the following classes: 1. English 7 Studies or English 7 GT – student must qualify for Gifted and Talented as defined by Greenville County Schools. 2. Math 7 or Math 7/8 – MAP scores SC PASS math scores Math grades Teacher recommendation required 3. Science 7 4. Social Studies 7 5. PE/Health – Related Arts - semester course 6. Spanish 7– Related Arts - semester course 7. Homeroom 7 All students must select additional Related Arts course(s) to complete the schedule. The course(s) selection must be equivalent to 1 period for the entire school year. RELATED ARTS COURSES CHOOSE 1 RELATED ARTS COURSE BELOW Band 7 – Year long course Chorus 7 – Year long course Art 7-2 – Yearlong course – (art teacher recommendation) OR CHOOSE 2 RELATED ARTS COURSES BELOW Music 7 – Semester course Art 7 – Semester course Keyboarding* – Semester course *½ Unit of High School credit earned upon passage of course. Student MUST complete and return parent/student agreement form to their homeroom teacher by February 27. ½ Keyboarding & ½ Computer Applications (if taken in 8th grade) will satisfy the computer science requirement for graduation.
