Prof. Mushahid Husain is the Vice Chancellor of M.J.P. Rohilkhand University, Bareilly. Formerly, He
was a Senior Professor and Director, “Centre for Nano science and Nanotechnology” of Jamia Millia
Islamia (Central University), New Delhi.
He has been instrumental in starting M.Tech. Nano technology course in 2007 in Department of
Physics. Prof. Husain has completed several major research projects on amorphous semiconductors
funded by various government agencies like DST, DRDO etc. Recently he has taken up two major
research field of Nano-Technology especially the carbon nanotubes by DRDO and Department of
Information Technology (DIT). Due to his contribution in the field, the scientific community
unanimously elected him the Vice Chairman of Semiconductor Society of India for two consecutive
terms (1999 to 2003). He is also holding various positions in different academic societies. In addition,
he also held the office of the President of Indian Physical Society during the session 1990-92. At
present, he is the President of Society for Nano Science and Technology and secretary of one of the
prestigious “Society for Semiconductor Devices”.
He has made about 27 foreign visits including University of Cambridge–UK, University of
Southampton-UK, University of Princeton, New Jersey, ICTP, Italy. UNAM-Mexico, SIRIM-Malaysia,
National University Singapore, National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, US Naval Research
Lab. Washington and University of Arkansas, Fayetteville where has recently made a Collaborative
visit and delivered a series of lectures at Institute of Ion Beam & Vacuum Technologies, Esslingen,
Germany during 17-24 April, 2011.
He has delivered 111 Invited Talks at National and International Forums. A number of popular talks
on All India Radio and the National TV Channel (Doordarshan) have also been presented by him.
Prof. Husain has about 182 Research Papers in reputed International Journals to his credit. He has
produced 36 Ph.Ds. He has also edited one book on “Advances in Physics of Materials”. Besides his
scientific activities, he enjoys the Membership of Academic councils (Central University of Panjab,
Bhatinda, Agra University and ITM University, Gurgaon) and Board of Studies of different universities
in India. He was the Member of “Board of Governors” of National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra
University.
Vikram Kumar
Professor, IIT Delhi &
Chairman Society for Semiconductor Device
Prof. Vikram Kumar is well known in the area of semiconductor materials characterization and device
technology. His early work on ultra-thin oxide MOS structures is cited widely. His extensive work
towards the understanding of electronic defects and interface states in silicon, III–V and II–VI
semiconductors lead to the prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award in 1992. He has
contributed towards the development of technology of materials and devices some of which have
reached production stage. His team developed the technology of 0.7 μm gate ion implanted MESFET
and 0.5 μm pseudomorphic HEMT using MBE grown strained layer AlGaAs/InGaAs/GaAs structures.
He led the team for setting up GaAs Enabling Technology Centre (GAETEC) foundry for pilot
production of monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMIC) that is supplying devices to various
users including defence and space. His team has also developed the technology for growth of single
crystals of CdZnTe and GaAs and supplied device quality wafers. He also contributed to the
development HgCdTe based PV and PC infra-red detectors. Kumar is currently working in the area of
polymer electronics. He initiated programmes on silicon and organic solar cells at NPL. In particular,
he has been modelling carrier transport in organic materials.
Prof Kumar has published over 165 papers in reputed journals and co-authored a book. He
has been contributing to the development of science and technology in India as member of several
nationally important committees. He played a key role in starting the National Programme on Smart
Materials, and as Chairman of the committee for development of devices, has guided the development
of MEMS technology in India. He is the Chairman of the working group on Nano electronics for the
Department of Information Technology. He is the Chairman of the Expert Group for Solar Energy
Research set up by the Department of Science and Technology. He is member of the Committee for
PV Research set up by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. He is a fellow of the National
Academy of Sciences, Indian National Academy of Engineering and Institution of Electronic and
Communication Engineers in addition to being a member/chair of several professional societies.

Prof Anupam Srivastav has Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering (Composite Biomaterials) and
Masters in Mechanical Engineering (Machine Design) from U.P Technical University and IIT-BHU, India
respectively and has over 23 years’ experience in teaching and research in the area of Materials
Science, particularly Biomaterials and Composite Materials, as well as Tribology and Corrosion
Studies. He is currently Professor & Associate Dean of Middle East College, Muscat, Oman (a college in
association with Coventry University, UK). Prof Anupam is life members of two professional bodies
namely Indian Society for Mechanical Engineers and Society of Biomaterials and Artificial Organs
(India), and is also associated as member of Editorial Board/reviewer of well-known International
Journals of Engineering/Wear/Simulation and Modelling, etc and has over 30 research papers in
International and Indian Journals, International Conferences, etc and contributed a chapter in a book
on Biomaterials, published by INTECH, Vienna. Prof Srivastav has successfully completed research
projects in the area of Tribology/biomaterials/gas sensors, sponsored/externally funded by prestigious
research and quality assurance agencies in India such as DRDO, and AICTE etc. He has supervised
two Ph.D and currently supervising two more Ph.Ds. He also has supervised 07 Masters (M.Tech and
MDS, MBA-IT) theses.
Ashutosh Dixit
Professor

Dr. Dixit has over 25 years of management, administration, and leadership experience in industry and
academia. He obtained his Bachelor of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, MBA from
XLRI, Jamshedpur, and Ph.D. from Georgia Tech. Prior to his academic career; he has served as a
senior executive in the information technology industry where he was a top performer. Dr. Dixit has
chaired and has served on numerous high-level committees, and has won over 20 awards for his
research, teaching, and service. He has authored numerous papers and his research has appeared in
the International Business Review, Journal of International Management, Journal of Marketing,
Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Business Horizons, Journal of
marketing Theory and Practice, Marketing Education Review, Neural Networks for Business
Forecasting; and in the proceedings of the American Marketing Association, Marketing Science, and
Fordham Pricing Conferences. He has co-authored a book 'Deregulation and Competition: Lessons
from the Airline Industry. He has also served as the coordinator for the marketing doctoral program
committee, member of the CSU Faculty Senate and CSU Graduate Council.

Shri Rajesh Chandra

Mr. Rajesh Chandra is chairing a class I officer post in the Department of Technical Education U.P.
with the experience of almost 20years professional life he has given his services to Indian Railways
also as Software Engineer.
Today he is much known as spiritual writer, poet and meditation master rather than his professional
identification. He lives and teaches spiritual life with profession. He says: profession is for life but life
is not for profession only. Life is to search the ultimate truth and maintain harmony with our
surroundings. Profession is not a hindrance in our spiritual practice but rather it’s a mean in our
spiritual journey.
He is invited all over India by different organisations for his spiritual talks and meditation retreat. His
famous collection includes “Buddha Ka Chakravarti Saamrajya” (Foreword by His Holiness the Dalai
Lama), “Pooja Ka Deeya”, ”Kalp Vriksha Kee Chhanv Mein”,”Yahi sach Hai” (spiritual poems),
“Premanjali” (English poems to be printed) etc. And right now he is regularly writing and editing in a
world famous Buddhist monthly named as Madhyam Marg. He is here to deliver a talk on “Spiritual
Aspect in Professional Life”.

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (India); area Chair of Information Systems & also CoordinatorCenter for Excellence in E-gov at IIT Delhi. Known for pioneering works in the area of e-governance
[that include 18 Doctoral thesis, 13 sponsored projects worth >5 crores, co-authored book
'Government Online', two other edited books 'Towards E-government' & 'Promise of E-governance'
and 176 research papers appeared in National and International Journals/Conference Proceedings].
Reputed journals where his publications appear are ‘Government Information Quarterly (GIQ)’,
‘International Journal of E-government Research (IJEGR)’, 'Journal of Enterprise Information

Dr. Harsh is Visiting Professor at Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi and Former Scientist in solid State Physics
Lab, DRDO, Delhi. He has pioneering in establishing the Centers Design Laboratories, Apart from this
he has worked on various projects of national importance including setting up of GAETEC, Mask
Fabrication Facility, Nano Technology Development, Development of GaAs Digital IC’s Technology,
MMIC Design Center. Dr. Harsh have been honored by various awards including DRDO outstanding
teamwork award in 2001, Laboratory Technology Group awards 2004 and 2007 and Scientist of the
year award 2007. Deputed to USA in 1989 and 1992 for specialized training and to IRE Moscow in
1997 for joint project review meeting and further collaborations. Dr. Harsh is associated with
Membership BOS member of NIT Jalandher, member of working group on Nano Technology of MIT ,
PAC member of DST, COS member at JMI. Was BOS and Faculty committee member JMI Delhi, head,
task team on Nano electronics of DRDO Nanotechnology program. Life member of Semiconductor
Society, Optical Society, Society for Nano science and Nano technology and Society for Semiconductor
Devices. Member/chairman of various project review committees, expert committees on technology
development. He have guided five PhD students and more than 30 M-Tech students, also divisional
head of the Nano Technology, Polymer Electronics and Electro ceramics divisions of the Solid State

and soil study. He is currently a Director at Inderprastha Engineering College, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad
