Booking
Where can I take the test?
TSA Leiden will take place at the Leiden University Institute of Psychology in Leiden (the Netherlands), and at
other test centres internationally.
When do I take the test?
The test is scheduled to take place on Monday 20th April, 2015 and to start at 13:00 (1PM) (local Netherlands
time).
When do I need to register by?
The deadline for TSA Leiden registration is 23:59 GMT on Friday, 03 April, 2015 (NL Timezone Sat 4 at
00:59 CET). Registration opens on 23 March, 2015.
If you have not registered for TSA Leiden before the test deadline you unfortunately cannot take the test.
What access arrangements are available?
Wherever possible, Cambridge English and Leiden make arrangements for candidates with special
requirements. You will need to email a request for access arrangements to [email protected].
You need to show that you are eligible for access arrangements by submitting an official declaration document
from your high school, doctor, or other certified professional. With this declaration document, Leiden will
assess your application. Note: Access requests require the permission of Leiden University. If your request for
special arrangements has been granted by Leiden, you should still indicate in the drop down menu on the TSA
Leiden registration page exactly what kind of special arrangements you require.
I need to cancel my booking – how do I do this?
If you are within the cancellation period* please follow the steps below to cancel your booking and request a
refund.

Log in to the Cambridge English Test Portal.
Click on the “Home” tab and click on the “Purchase history” link.
On the “Purchase history” page click on the “Refund” button next to your booking.
On the refund confirmation page click on the “Refund” button to submit your refund request.
A refund request confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.
Once your request has been approved and processed, you will receive another email confirming your booking
cancellation and refund.
Please note that it could take up to 10 days for the refund to reach your account. Some banks/credit card
providers may take longer so please check with them if you are concerned.
*The Cambridge English cancellation policy follows EU guidelines.
You can cancel and receive a full refund, up to 14 days from the date we receive payment. If you cancel
outside of this period you will incur an administrative fee, which is currently 75% of the booking fee paid.

During registration
What is an activation code?
An activation code is linked to a test session and helps us to identify which test you will be registering for when
you enter it on the booking portal. You will receive an email containing a link to the booking portal as well as
your activation code.
I did not receive an activation code email. What should I do?
Please check your spam or junk folders. If you still cannot locate the email then please contact Admissions
tests support at www.admissionstestingservice.org/help.
I registered and set a password but have forgotten it.
Please go to the Cambridge English booking portal https://www.metritests.com/metrica, click on the “Forgotten
your password” link next to the “Login” button and follow the instructions on the screen to reset your password.
I have tried to reset my password but I didn’t get an email to reset it. What should I do?
Please check your spam or junk folders. If you still cannot locate the email then please contact Admissions
tests support at www.admissionstestingservice.org/help.
I have registered but I’m having problems continuing with booking. What should I do?
Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email. Click on the link found in the email. Please
note that a new ‘Account Activation’ page will open as a result. Close the new page and go to the page where
you have just finished your registration. Click on the ‘Continue’ button to complete the process.
If you have already closed the ‘Continue’ page that appeared after you registered, open your first email
containing the activation code. Click on the link and you will be taken to the correct booking page.
If you are still having problems with continuing your booking, please contact Admissions tests support at
www.admissionstestingservice.org/help.
What currencies are fees charged in?
Fees are charged in the following currencies - £ GBP, $ USD or € EUR, depending on the country in which
you are based when booking the test.
Which payment cards are accepted?
1. Any cards that have the Visa or MasterCard symbol, including debit, credit and prepaid cards are
accepted on the booking system.
2. Electron cards should also be accepted if they display either Visa or MasterCard.
3. JCB and Maestro* are also accepted.
*Please note that if your Maestro card does not have a 16 digit number it is not accepted for online
payments.
If you do not have one of these cards you can normally get a prepaid card from a bank or a post office.
Alternatively ask your parent, guardian or an adult if they are able to assist you with your payment, but
remember that you must ask the bill payer’s permission beforehand.
What if my payment is declined on the booking site?
Initially you should speak to your card provider or try another card.

During and after the test
What do I do before the test day?
You are advised to look up directions a few days beforehand and to contact the test centre if you need more
detailed guidance on how to get there. Leave plenty of time to get to the test centre and arrive early. You are
advised to arrive at least 1 hour before the test start time. If you do not arrive on time then the test centre may
not permit you to take the test.
Will I need to take any photo identification to my test centre?
You must bring a photo ID on the day of the test. The ID must be an original national ID (i.e. passport or
national ID card). Copies are only accepted if accompanied by an official letter from a government authority
stating that the original is retained by them.
Do I qualify for special consideration?
If you think something might have affected your performance during your test, such as temporary illness, injury
or problems with the administration of the test, you can apply for special consideration.
How do I submit a request for special consideration?
You can make a request for special consideration through the Test Centre you took the TSA at.
The Administrator at Leiden University or the Test Centre should submit the Application for special
considerations form (accompanied by a covering letter on headed notepaper) via email to the Special
Circumstances Unit ([email protected]). See www.admissionstestingservice.org/help for more
information.
Completed applications must be received by the Special Circumstances Unit within five working days from the
test date.
Your application will be forwarded to Leiden University and they will be asked to take the special consideration
into account when considering your application. No adjustment will be made to your result.
Results and results enquiries
How do I view my results?
An email will be provided after the test to tell you when your results will be released and how to view them in
the ‘My Results’ section of the site.
Can my test result be queried?
Yes your test result can be queried if you think that there has been an error in processing or reporting of your
results. This online form must be submitted within 5 working days of the results being published. You can
complete a Results Enquiry form via Admissions tests support at www.admissionstestingservice.org/help.
Please note that your result can go up or down. There is a charge for this service. However, if your result does
change then you will not be charged the result enquiry fee. If your result remains the same then you do have
to pay the enquiry fee (currencies accepted include € EUR, £ GBP, $ USD).
It is extremely rare for such enquiries to lead to a change in results as the majority of test papers at the
Admissions Testing Service are, at the time of initial marking, either machine-marked, or clerically marked and
checked.

Can my test result be appealed?
Yes your test result can be appealed:
1. if you are not satisfied with an aspect of the administration of the test and this is an issue not covered
by a request for Special Consideration or by a Results Enquiry or
2. if you are not satisfied with the outcome of your initial Results Enquiry.

Please note:
You must submit an appeal within 5 working days of the results being published, or within 5 working days of
the outcome of a result enquiry as appropriate.
Can I see my papers after the results have been published?
No, the Admissions Testing Service will not return your test papers.
