1. Parents/guardians are responsible for the welfare of their children
prior to and after the program in which the child is enrolled. Campers
must be picked up by a parent/guardian and cannot walk to a
bus stop or an on-campus office.
2. Disruptive or dangerous behavior by participants, as determined by
the program staff, will not be allowed. Program staff will issue an
oral warning and will contact parents to correct behavior. Failure to
correct behavior may result in dismissal from camp and forfeiture
of all fees.

3. Enrollment in the program does not entitle parents or participants
use of Saint Louis University facilities for any purpose other than
the camp program.
4. Children should carry necessary items: swimming suit, sunscreen
and towel in a well-marked backpack. Each child should wear
comfortable clothing. Tennis shoes and socks are required (no
open-toed shoes or sandals are permitted). The camp program and
the department of campus recreation are not responsible for lost
clothing or personal belongings.
5. Photographs and videotaping of children participating in the
camp program will take place from time to time for promotional
and educational purposes only. Your signature on the application
indicates approval for the camp to photograph or videotape your child.
6. The camp program does not retain a full-time registered nurse and/
or licensed physician to assist in the administration of medications.
If the child cannot administer the medication to him/herself, a
parent or guardian must be present to do so.
7. Transportation of camp participants on field trips and other
locations away from the SLU campus will occur via a contracted bus
service utilizing an appropriately licensed driver. Your signature on
the application indicates approval to attend field trips.
8. The camp program reserves the right to cancel programs due to
under enrollment, facility or staffing concerns. In these cases, the
deposit for that session will be returned in full.

9. The camp program is a fee-for-service program based on
confirmed enrollments and secured fees. To best meet the
administrative needs, both the enrollment procedures and refund
policy are applied uniformly.

SLU SUMMER YOUTH CAMP
Campers participate in recreational activities including
sports, arts and crafts, games, swimming, cooking, and
weekly field trips.
We stimulate the process of discovery by introducing campers
to a variety of recreational activities designed for each age
group and skill level. We hope to create a special atmosphere
in which friendships can be formed and campers can express
themselves and grow while creating lasting memories.
Camp Staff
Our energetic and well-qualified staff, under the direction of
the department of campus recreation, is comprised of
professionals in recreation and education along with students
interested in those fields. Camp participants are served with
respect, courtesy, honesty and compassion.

Snacks and drinks are provided daily.
Parents should send lunch with their camper(s) each day, except Friday,
when everyone looks forward to the all-camp cookout.
SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION
Dates and times
Monday – Friday, June 1 to July 31
9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The cost of the camp is $150 per week for SLU faculty, staff,
students and alumni and $160 per week for non-SLU affiliation.
• Extended care is 8 – 9 a.m. or 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
• The extended care cost is $20 per child per week and
includes both morning and evening.
The camp is a fee-for-service program based on confirmed
enrollments and secured fees. A $50 per week, per child nonrefundable deposit is required. Reservations will be held by your
deposit until 14 days prior to the start of the week. The balance in
full must be received within 14 days prior to the start of the week
to secure the camper’s place. If full payment is not received by this
time, places will be refilled on a first-come, first-served basis.
