Sara Bruno has lived in Keeneyville District 20 for 16 years. She worked fbr many years in the property
management industry for the country's largest R.E.I.T. As a property manager she managed budgets and
personnel. Currently, Sara works as a music teacher at a local preschool. She is very passionate about early
childhood education.
As a Girl Scout leader and PTO volunteer Sara has had firsthand opportunities to work with children in our
community and understands the dynamics of families in the district. Additionally. Sara has served on the

Heather Weishaar has lived in Keeneyville Elementary School District 20 since 2005. Her life outside
of shuttling her kids around to activities, and trying to convince her husband to tackle additional
home-improvement projects, includes working for an Illinois based non-profit and finishing up her
Certificate in Non Profit Management from UIC.
An enthusiastic volunteer, Heather currently serves on the Keeneyville School District 20 Climate
and Culture Task Force, the Waterbury Elementary School's Teacher Appreciation Committee, and
has served on the district's Gifted Education Committee. The Weishaar family also supports PACT, a
DuPage County service coordination agency for people with developmental disabilities.
Originally from Michigan, Heather graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in
Organizational Communication. Her father was a special education teacher for 35 years, and she
grew up with a great appreciation for the professionals who selflessly dedicate their time and energy
to fostering the educational and emotional needs of students.
If elected, Heather intends to focus on improving District 20’s communication methods to improve
critical conduits between the ESD 20 community, parents, teachers and administrators. Another of
Weishaar's goals is the creation of an enrichment program for the district's elementary schools aimed at producing higher achieving, more well-rounded students.
