School Safety Information – Family Contact Information
As our families are aware, Collegium takes our students' safety very seriously - from Newsletter
reminders about arrival/dismissal line protocols to school visitor procedures to emergency planning.
Collegium regularly works with local and county emergency responders, conducts a variety of drills
with our students and employees, and provides specialized training for our staff. Over the next few
months, we will share more information about school safety through Newsletter articles.
Recently we worked with emergency management experts to review our internal plans for handling a
large-scale emergency on our campus. Our administrative team also participated in a “table-top”
exercise, walking through a large-scale emergency scenario.
In an emergency, we will communicate with families as soon as possible. We will make every effort
to communicate quickly, and often, to keep parents informed of the situation. We promise to
communicate with parents via our SchoolMessenger system as quickly and often as possible.
Collegium will need help from our parents/guardians should we ever have an emergency. Right
now, we are asking for your assistance to make sure that we have up-to-date contact
information on file for parents/guardians. Please consider…have you moved recently? Changed
jobs? Updated your email address? Have a new cell phone number? Disconnected your land line?
If your contact information changed, please contact Mrs. Novak at [email protected].
2014-2015 Yearbook
Order forms for the 2014-2015 K-12 CCS Yearbook are available on our website. The price is $65.00. Order now before
they are sold-out! The Yearbook includes a special senior class section, lots of activities photos, and is hard bound in fullcolor.
Annual Parent Survey
In past years, information about our Annual Parent Survey was provided only to those parents/guardians who attended a
spring conference. This year, the link to the survey will be emailed to all parents/guardians in early March. Please
respond to the survey. Your feedback is important to Collegium!
2015-2016 School Year
If your family’s plans for 2015-2016 change (moving, change of schools, etc.), please alert Collegium as soon as you’ve
made the decision. Our open enrollment period is underway. The sooner a current family advises us of their plans, the
sooner we can enroll a new student for 2015-2016. Please do not rely on the new school to tell us…they often don’t
reach out for a records transfer until after our upcoming school year begins. As you can imagine, planning for students
who don’t show up wreaks havoc on Collegium’s planning and budget. If your child is not returning for 2015-2016, please
contact Mrs. Novak at [email protected]. Your decision will not impact your child’s 2014-2015 experience at Collegium.

All content for the newsletter must be submitted by 4:00pm on Thursdays via email to [email protected]. The Community
Opportunities section will not include information about non-CCS fundraisers or information from for-profit companies.
CCS reserves the right to edit submissions and deny material for submission if deemed inappropriate or if it is determined
