Please be aware of this recent change as we

Once again this Lenten Season we ask you to consider making an almsgiving donation of toiletry items
such as: toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap bars, combs,

(cough drops, disposable razors and gently used or new blankets

during the day.

Mary's shrine. Receptacle are available at both locations.

STUDENT FOR A DAY AT LOWELL HIGH SCHOOL
FEBRUARY 26, 2015 (all or part of the day)
Once a year, parents and guardians of Lowell students have an opportunity to shadow
a Lowell student in one or more classes. Each adult is paired with a student, who takes the
adult to at least one of his/her classes.
For the first time, you are invited to join us for all or part of the day. This is a chance to get a
first hand look at Lowell's campus, culture, and environment. See what it's like to be in a
classroom with 30 learners. Is it too big? too small? or just right? Talk to our students and
get the real scoop.
If you are interested in this special opportunity, please visit
http://goo.gl/forms/7NdtfdsU5j.
We hope you can join us. If you have questions, please feel free to contact the parent coordinators:

All West Lacrosse has programs for Girls for K-5th
(U7, U9, U11). I’ve signed Elie & Alex up for their program on Tuesdays at 3.30pm - I thought it would be fun
to get a group together! The girls learn the fundamentals
of the game but also Respect, Attitude and Effort - RAE
is their mantra.
If you think you might be interested in the girls (or boys) After School Program
(Kindergarten & up), but want to "try it out" before deciding to join in or not, they
offer a FREE TRIAL. Kids can come out and see what lacrosse is all about - NO
equipment needed for the trial, however full equipment is required for the program. Details below:
·
Sunday, March 1st at 2.00-2.30pm in San Francisco (likely Marina
Green)
·
Sign up for the free trial here
Hope to see you there, Stu Fisher (Grades K & 5th)

Donations
Donations have begun to roll in - but we need help from everyone. We would love all
parents to consider reaching out to the places they frequent to request donations. This
is a team effort and if we all reach out, we'll have some terrific items! Also – think big!!
Don’t just ask for a bottle of wine…ask for a case! Don’t ask for a single ticket – but for
a package of four for the whole family. This is how we are going to raise the most funds.
Volunteer Task Assignment
We will be making the sign up sheet available shortly (most likely later this week; tba.)
However, we are still trying to slate in repeat and key lead volunteer positions. We are
currently hoping to fill the following key positions before opening up for general
volunteers. If you are interested in any of these – please let me know immediately at
[email protected] and reference “auction volunteer” in the title of your email.
Lead position for the Finance Committee (person to run the finance and check out

Transportation Lead (If you have a truck (or can drive a truck) and would like to
complete your task before and the day after the auction (leaving you free to enjoy the
party), this job is for you!
