ANNOUNCEMENT: The Mount Gambier Motor Cycle Club Inc. hereafter called the PROMOTER will conduct interclub road racing at McNamara Park, on 4th & 5th April 2015 2. 2.1. JURISDICTION: The above mentioned meeting has been authorised by Motorcycling SA Inc. which has issued the Motorcycling Australia Permit Number C15009 All riders must be holders of a current MA National Licence if they are competing in the State Championship. 14 year old competitors with Junior Licences endorsed for Road Racing in the 125ccGP/250ccGP Class and are also eligible to enter. The race meeting will also be open to junior riders 9 to under 12,70ccManual and 12-under 16 years of age with solo machines 80cc 2 stroke and 160cc 4 stroke & have completed compulsory 5 hours coaching. Junior riders must hold a National Licence. The meeting will be held in accordance with the current General Competition Rules (GCR’s) Manual of Motorcycle Sport (MoMs) , these Supplementary Regulations, and any final instructions approved by Motorcycling SA Inc. A single point will be awarded for taking pole position Limited State Event- 2 Stroke and 4 Stroke multi-cylinder machines up to 400cc are eligible, twin cylinder machines to 650cc (to 750cc 2 valve only) and single cylinder machines up to 800cc. Riders of 125ccGP,250GP and 250cc Production machines are encouraged to participate. Grid positions will be taken from two qualifying sessions held on Saturday morning. JUNIORS State Event -Grid positions will be taken from two qualifying sessions to be held on Saturday morning. Any rider unable to qualify will start rear of grid. Nippers -Up to 70cc machines as per 2015 MoM’s Competitors must be aged from 9yrs to under 12 yrs Junior 2- Up to 85cc 2 stroke machines as per 2015 MoM’s Competitors must be aged 12 to under 16 yrs Junior 4- Up to 160cc 4 stroke machines as per 2015 MoM’s. Competitors must be ages 12 to under 16yrs 125GP- 125GP machines as per 2015 MoM’s maybe run with Limited 250Mono- 250 Four stroke, single cylinder machines as per 2015 MoM’s Maybe run with Limited National BEARS Challenge: Australian BEARS will compete in F1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 as specified by the Australian BEARS Club. Any rider unable to qualify will start rear of grid. BEARS have a rolling grid. HISTORIC FEATURE: (Non State Event) Open to Period 5 250cc & 350cc machines, Period 4 250,350 & 500cc machines. Any rider unable to qualify will start rear of grid. FEATURE RACES: The Club will conduct the following feature races: Easter Cup/1st Leg of Master of Mac Park. 2nd leg of Master of Mac Park October 3rd & 4th October 2015 - Open to invited A, B & selected C grade riders on machines of 600cc and above at the discretion of the Club. Grid positions will be from times set in qualifying on Saturday. No juniors or historic machines will be allowed to compete in this feature race. A single point will be awarded for taking pole position. Points from 2 legs of the Easter Cup meeting will be tallied and carried through to the Master of Mac Park to be held on October 3rd & 4th 2015. Consolation Easter Cup - Open to C & D grade riders and those not selected for Easter Cup at the discretion of the Club. Grid positions will be from times set in qualifying on Saturday. No juniors or historic machines will be allowed to compete in this feature race. 9. AWARDS (See table at end of Sup Regs.) Trophies Will be awarded according to the following numbers of competitors: . - Races of where there is one entrant only in a class, no award/trophy will be awarded Approved 29-1-15 - Second and third overall points scorers receive trophies unless indicated otherwise and according to the following numbers of competitors: 2 to 3 competitors - first only; Races of 4 to 6 competitors - first and second, Races of 7 or more competitors – first, second and third. Number of award/trophies per class will be based on numbers at official close of entries. No late entries will be accepted Period of Holding Awards – Awards to be picked up at the Presentation Ceremony following the race meeting. If you are unable to attend the ceremony please nominate someone to collect for you. Awards/Trophies will not be held . 10. ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS: Should there be insufficient entries in any class of competition; the decision to run or cancel the class, or to combine events and re-distribute any awards will be at the discretion of the club, subject to Motorcycling SA Inc. approval. 11 11.1 11.2 11.3 11.4 11.5 11.6 11.7 11.8 RACE FORMAT: All machines entered must comply with the current MoMs for Road Race competition. Attention is drawn to the following points. All modern machines front brake calliper bolts to be lockwired in the tightened position as per MoMs. All modern machines must have engine end case protectors fitted as per MoMs. Multiple entry of the one machine in the same class of competition is not permitted. Change of machine by permission of Clerk of Course, original allocated number to be fitted. Spare machines MUST be entered and scrutineered at official scrutineering. Bikes cannot be changed halfway through a race Wherever possible, competitors will be allocated their registered riding numbers or their preferred riding number. All others will be allocated numbers at the Club’s discretion. All number plates on all machines MUST comply with MoMs. 11.9 12 12.1 GRID POSITIONS: For all classes starting positions will be determined by two timed Qualifying Sessions on Saturday 4th April 2015. Combined classes in feature races may get an extra qualifying session if deemed necessary by the club. If unable to take part in Qualifying on Saturday morning, you will not be eligible for feature races. If unable to qualify for scratch (legs) starting position for races on Saturday and Sunday will be at rear of grid. 13 RIDERS’ BRIEFING: A riders’ briefing will be held prior to the commencement of racing, which ALL competitors MUST attend. All riders MUST sign in at Riders Brief to be held on Saturday 4th April 2015 at 8.30am at the Clubrooms. 14 DRUG AND OR ALCOHOL TESTING: 14.1 14.2 15 16 17 All competitors and officials are advised that as part of the MA and MSA drug education program, drug testing may take place at any competition in accordance with Australian Sports Commission policy as implemented by the Australian Sports Drug Agency and the Motorcycling SA Drug and Alcohol Policy. If any doubts exist over banned substances it is recommended competitors contact the Drugs in Sport Hotline, tel 1800 020 506. When drug testing takes place, the payment of prize money may be delayed at the Motorcycling SA Inc. discretion until the results of the tests are known. CODE OF CONDUCT: All competitors, officials and parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia by-law - CODE OF CONDUCT (as stipulated in the MoMs), which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all motorcycle race meetings. This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to this Meeting and will be enforced. TIMETABLE: Saturday 4th 7-30am- 9am Scrutineering. 2 qualifying sessions per class. Racing to commence after qualifying. Sunday – Limited practice from 9am with racing to follow. For the purposes of drug and alcohol testing, the commencement of the meeting will be deemed to be 7:30am Saturday with the completion of the meeting for the participant being a half hour after the last event. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION: Races will be conducted on a sealed course of 2.4 Km in a clockwise direction. 18 STARTS: All races will be clutch start. Starting will be by lights; RED - for prepare to start, RED light off - for start. An amber light will flash if a start is aborted. 19 RACING: All heats, races and laps for all Classes as laid out in “Awards “table at the end of Sup Regs. 20 NOISE: As Per MoMs 21 GST: The Goods and Services Tax affects the payment of prizemoney. If you do not provide an ABN or declare the sport is a hobby, the Promoter must withhold 48.5% of prizemoney over $50.00 which is otherwise payable to you. NO BURNOUTS- PENALTIES APPLY STARTING AT $500 at the discretion of the Club Scrutineering – All riders must wear racing apparel, All machines with fairings must have the belly pan removed and all old scrutineering stickers must be removed. Garages – A limited number of powered garages 1-36 & 43-54 available in the pit area at $70 per bay for the weekend. One bay per entry.(Comfortably fits 2 bikes) Sheds 37-42 are available at $130 per bay for the weekend. Only one bay per entry. (Comfortably fits 4 bikes) Bookings will only be accepted on receipt of Entry form when accompanied by full payment Timing: Timing will be electronic and EACH machine will be allocated a transponder; the hire charges are included in the entry fee. Riders will be responsible for the safe return of their transponders and a fee will be charged for loss or damage. Before transponders are handed over, competitors will need to provide security of $50 to the hirer at the track. The security will be handed back when the transponders are returned in good order to the hirer. Camping – Bushland style camping is available for a fee of $10 per person per day. Under 16 free.
