Starting off at St Tewdrigs church at Mathern we make our way through this picturesque village and on to the charming village of Mounton across open farmland and woods, to pass Rogerstone Grange and then a steady climb to Gaer Hill Fort with far reaching views to the Cotswolds and Forest of Dean. We then head down the stunning Angiddy Valley with its industrial heritage, through Tintern and back along the banks of a beautiful stretch of the River Wye before finishing at the Old Railway Station where refreshments will be available. This walk is unsuitable for dogs.
