Walk 12—Complete St Tewdrigs Trail
This walk has been so popular it has now become one of our
firm favourites and many people were unable to join the walk
last year due it being fully booked. Starting off at St Tewdrigs
church at Mathern we make our way through this picturesque
village and on to the charming village of Mounton across open
farmland and woods, to pass Rogerstone Grange and then a
steady climb to Gaer Hill Fort with far reaching views to the
Cotswolds and Forest of Dean. We then head down the
stunning Angiddy Valley with its industrial heritage, through
Tintern and back along the banks of a beautiful stretch of the
River Wye before finishing at the Old Railway Station where
refreshments will be available.
