We would appreciate it very much if the team that is OFF would help shag for the ON team. This helps to keep balls off other
courts and is considered good sportsmanship.

Note:
If you have teams from out of town and you are staying in the Cloquet area, FDLTCC is about 10 minutes from
the hotel you are more than likely staying at. If your team is playing at South Ridge School, you have about a 30
minute drive to the school, so make your morning plans to accommodate the drive.
Team Areas:
Teams can set up their camps in designated areas. Please do not set up camps in spectator
seating areas, seating is limited and we will ask campers to relocate. Please make sure you clean up your
camping areas after the event. We appreciate your help!!
Food Policy:
No food or beverages allowed in the gyms other than water. Coolers, picnic baskets, Subway etc may
not be brought into either facility. Concessions will be available at all sites.
Admissions:
$4.00 per adult and $2.00 per student. Children 10 and under free.
2015 NVC Classic Rules of Play:
Balls:
Each team will provide their own warm-up balls. NVC will not be providing game balls so
teams will need to provide and agree on a game ball.
12s teams need to provide and agree on a “volley lite” ball. The “short service line” rule is in
effect for 12s: 7’0” into the court.
Libero:
Liberos are allowed to serve at this event.
Officiating:
Teams to provide R1 & R2, line judges and book-keeping crew. A Coach must either be the R1 or R2.
Pool Play:
4 team pools - 3 sets to 25. No cap.
5 team pools- 2 sets to 25. No cap. No third set.
Tie Breakers:
Playoffs:
The following priority will be used to determine the place teams finish in pool play: matches
won/loss (in 5 team pools, team with most combined points in 2 sets wins match), Sets won/loss, head to head
(two way tie only) and finally, a coin toss.
