ARCHERY GB NATIONAL SERIES

ARCHERY GB NATIONAL SERIES,
STAGE ENTRY PROCESS FOR 2016
INTRODUCTION
Due to extremely high demand of athletes trying to enter the Archery GB National Series (AGBNS)
qualification stages in 2015, we feel that it is necessary to adjust the entry process for Qualification
Events in 2016. This is required to maintain the integrity of the event and to ensure that the value of the
event, showcasing our best athletes in top competition, continues.
ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY QUALIFICATION EVENTS
The AGBNS is open to all members of Archery GB and to any archer who is a member of a
Member Association affiliated to World Archery. Juniors are welcome to shoot on an equal
footing with senior archers.
Entry
1. Places will be reserved, for the first week of entry, to archers ranked in the UK
top 20, in Men’s and Women’s recurve and compound, in the Archery GB
Senior National Rankings 2015. If any of these places are not taken after 7 days
they will be allocated on a first come first served basis to open entries.
2. Paragraph 1 above will also apply to the winner of the GB series from 2015 if
that individual is not ranked in 2015 top 20.
3. Entry will open no earlier than January 1st 2016 for any stage and no earlier
than 6 month before the 1st day of each stage.
4. The dates of the entry opening will be agreed with host clubs and will be
published on the AGB website and Twitter feed 1 month prior.
For example: Stage 1 2016 is on May 21, entry is not allowed to open
before January 1. Top 20 have until January 8 to guarantee their
place.
