Speaker: Dr. Faisal Bari
Dr. Faisal Bari, Associate Professor of Economics at
Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and
Senior Research Fellow at Institute of Development and
Economic Alternatives (IDEAS), has been
working/publishing on education and industrial organization issues for more than a
decade now. He leads the research clusters on education and industry at IDEAS.
His current research interests are: quality of education issues in low cost private schools,
the role of Private Public Partners, and governance reform issues in public sector
education. In IO, his research is focused on interesting industry level equilibria in
various markets in Pakistan. He has a doctorate from McGill University and has been
a teacher/researcher for the last 15 years.
