CHALMETTE BATTLEFIELD TOUR – SATURDAY, MAY 30 We will spend the afternoon visiting the Chalmette Battlefield, home of the Battle of New Orleans. A historic tour of various highlights with cover the history of the Cottonbalers at the battlefield. Following the tour, a brief memorial service will be held at the 7th Infantry plaque at Chalmette Battlefield. 12:00pm board bus, 4:00pm back at hotel $32 includes bus and escort. Please plan to be at the bus boarding area (in front of the hotel) at least five minutes prior to the scheduled time. From the Normandy invasion to the sands of the Pacific Islands and the Home Front, you will see the courage, teamwork and sacrifice of the men and women who won the war that changed the world. We are fortunate enough to have a guided tour scheduled, featuring highlights from our infantry’s involvement and other historic stories shared throughout the tour. For an additional cost view the powerfully authentic 4-D cinematic experience, Beyond All Boundaries, narrated and produced by Tom Hanks, in the Solomon Victory Theater. Following time at the museum, buses will drop the group off near Jackson Square for time to explore the French Quarter on your own. Shuttles will depart at 4:00pm and again at 7:30pm. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY FOR ARMED FORCES REUNIONS, INC. For attendees canceling reunion activities prior to the cut-off date, Armed Forces Reunions, Inc. (AFR) shall process a full refund less the non-refundable AFR registration fee ($15 per person). Attendees canceling reunion activities after the cut-off date will be refunded to the fullest extent that AFR’s vendor commitments and guarantees will allow, less the non-refundable AFR registration fee. Cancellations will only be taken Monday through Friday from 9:00am until 5:00pm Eastern Standard Time, excluding holidays. Please call (757) 6256401 to cancel reunion activities and obtain a cancellation code. Refunds processed 4-6 weeks after reunion. Canceling your hotel reservation does not cancel your reunion activities.
