Hiring is ongoing and the starting date is negotiable. The job will entail close collaboration on a number of new and ongoing projects in applied microeconomics. My previous research assistants have gone on to Ph.D. programs at Harvard, MIT, Princeton, Stanford, and the University of Chicago. The ideal candidate will: (i) have a strong quantitative background; (ii) have strong computer science skills; (iii) be able to work independently to solve problems; and (iv) have a long-term interest in pursuing research in economics. Background in economics is a plus, but not necessary—I welcome candidates with strong technical backgrounds who are looking for more exposure to economics.
