Lord, I confess that:
I have had longings and nudges from You which I did not translate into
action.
I have made decisions without consulting You, then have blamed You
when things went wrong.
I have said that I trusted You, yet have not turned my affairs over to You.
I have been greedy for present delight and pleasure, unwilling to wait for
those joys which time and discipline alone can give.
*Please stand, as you are able.
I have often sought the easy way, and have consistently drawn back from
the road that is hard.
I have been fond of giving myself to dreams, which I am going to do
sometime, yet have been so slow in getting started doing them.
Forgive me for all the intentions that were born and somehow never
lived…
And now, Loving Father, I claim Your promise to change me. Do, Lord,
for me what I cannot do for myself. Lead me into a new tomorrow
with a new spirit. Cleanse my heart, create in me new attitudes and
new ideas, as only You can create them!

Composer’s note: "W hen, in its distress, the Christian soul can find no new word
to implore God's mercy, it tirelessly repeats the same plea with vehement faith.
Reason has reached its limit. Faith alone can go farther."

Con and Sharon Tsang

The Permanent Endowment Committee is entertaining grant applications for activities and initiatives
connected with Mountain View that
are not regularly underwritten in the
church budget. The Committee anticipates that grant funding in the
range of $5,000 to $6,500 will be
available for 2015. Any Mountain
View member, committee, team, or
staff member is eligible to apply.
Application forms are available in
the church office and a link to the
application is available on Mountain
View’s web site. Applications are
due by March 27, 2015. The Permanent Endowment Committee members are very appreciative of the
contributions made to its funds by
generous members and friends of
Mountain View United Methodist
Church. Thanks so much for those
past gifts, and for those yet to come!
Next Sunday, March 15, all are invited to attend the re-scheduled Spaghetti Dinner at 5:00pm and the
Benefit Concert at 6:30pm. Sor t of
like dinner and a movie, but you only have to go up a flight of stairs
between eating and entertainment!
Proceeds will help the youth go on
their mission trip this summer. The
plan for the trip is to go to the Grand
Canyon, with stops at various
churches and mission work as we
go. Of course, there will be at least a
little time for fun along the way!
If you’ve attended a benefit concert
previously, you know how much fun
they can be. We already have the
sax quartet, Spirit Singers, and tiny
violin players scheduled to perform.
If you’re interested in being part of
the fun, contact Sara Casarrubias at
[email protected]. See you there!
