Bunte Auction Services is proud to have been chosen to sell the license
plate collection of the late Russell Damisch of Elgin, IL. Mr. Damisch’s
collection of well over a thousand plates was impressive enough to win
the prestigious Shea Award. Mr. Damisch collected plates for most of
his life and was a member of a multiple of license plate collector clubs,
including ALPCA (Automobile License Plate Collectors Association).
The collection includes a pair of 1949 Illinois manufacturer plates #1-1
issued to Tucker Motor Corp., as well as many from the 1910’s through
1940’s. There are kit plates, porcelain plates, YOM’s, sample plates,
special edition plates, early plates from all 50 states and 10 Canadian
provinces and territories, as well as many mint pairs, several runs, and
foreign plates from several countries worldwide.
The auction will be held at Bunte Auction Services gallery on Saturday,
March 14th, 2015 starting at 12:00 noon. The doors will open at 10:00 A.M.
for viewing. After the auction we will remain open for 2 hours for collectors
to sell and trade. Live internet bidding will be available for a majority of
the auction, available through our website home page.

DIRECTIONS: I-90, Exit Rt. 31 North, at first stoplight turn left on Tollgate Rd.,
at Church Rd. turn right. 25 minutes west of O’Hare Airport.
