Meadowlark Chirp www.Meadowlarkcl.net Facebook: Meadowlark Community League Twitter: @MeadowlarkCL March, 2015 Family Day Celebrations at Meadowlark Hall Congratulations to the Chili Cook-off winners! First place: Roxanne Selwood Second place: Heather Kennedy Third place: Helen Weaver President’s report: It has been almost one year since I took on the role of President with the Meadowlark Community League. In that time I've been learning quite a lot, but answers to several questions continue to evade both the board and myself. The question we keep asking is: how to engage the residents within our neighbourhood? We are trying a few new ideas with the Chirp (I've been enjoying the You've Been Chirped section), and are working on updating our website to make it more informative and user-friendly. As part of this website updating, we are contemplating adding the Presidents Message as a “blog” where residents can add their comments to the ideas presented. I have received several email/phone comments following past messages and would like to be able to share those with the rest of the community. Hopefully this will give us another avenue to share ideas and concerns within our neighbourhood and engage our residents. David Towle Thank you to all the chili cook-off contestants for participating and sharing your delicious recipes with us! And to all those that bought tickets, thank you!
