ZEOsphere® - High Performance Separation
C-Gels
High Quality
Swiss Production
Zeochem AG, a manufacturer of
high quality spherical and irregular
silica gels and molecular sieves,
was established more than 190 years
ago and is still based at the original
location on Lake Zurich, Switzerland.
Zeochem is a subsidiary of the Swiss
CPH Chemie+Papier Holding AG.
SEM of ZEOsphere® 100 15 µm
With ZEOsphere®, a series of spherical
silica gels, we are the only Swiss
company offering these products.
Additionally, Zeochem is one of the
few worldwide fully back-integrated
silica producers, controlling the quality
of the product right from the high
purity water glass up to the fully
end-capped bonded high performance
gel, available in both normal and
reversed phase.
ZEOsphere® silica gels are produced
by a large batch scale emulsion
process providing reproducible
chromatographic separations of
high quality. The efficiency of liquid
chromatography relies on narrow
particle size distributions, very high
mechanical stability and a high specific
surface area to deliver consistent and
reliable results. We are constantly
working on improving this process
with one main goal:
Absolute uniformity between batches.

ZEOsphere® - Comprehensive Solutions
ZEOsphere® displays very uniform
perfectly spherical particles, which
provide an extremely pressure stable
silica gel, free of fines, allowing
reproducible column packing with
optimized backpressure. The low
metal ion content of ZEOsphere®
is achieved during our multistep
production process. Consequently,
metal ion solute interactions are
minimized providing symmetrical
peaks with little or no tailing.
The homogenous surface properties
ensure the highest performance
with even the most challenging
substrates.
Cost is a major driver for all pharmaceutical and chemical companies. The
purification stage influences the total
separation cost significantly. The efficiency and cost of the silica gel is in
the focus of today‘s R & D departments
and Zeochem offers premium products
with competitive prices, supporting
our customers by reducing their spend
and increasing their yields.
Technical Support
Zeochem prides itself in providing
a second to none service to our
customers. Our chemical specialists
and the technical sales team utilize
an in-house developed software
based modelling tool to design the
optimum process prior to upscaling
from the lab. Often a short discussion
with our team is sufficient to
provide a comprehensive solution
to our customer base.
