ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
Alagappa University was brought into
existence by a Special Act in May, 1985 by
Government of Tamil Nadu with the objective of
fostering research and dissemination of
knowledge in various branches of learning. It is
recognized by the University Grants Commission
under section 2(f) and 12 B of UGC Act.It is a
member of Association of Indian Universities as
well as a member of the Association of
Commonwealth Universities. It has as its motto
“Excellence in action” and keeps before it the
vision of excellence in all spheres of education.
The NAAC has re-accredited the University with
‘A’ Grade in 2011. Based on the scientific
research publications (h index 45 rank at All India
Level). Alagappa University has been recognized
by DST, Government of India, for Promotion of
University Research for Scientific Excellence
(PURSE). Alagappa University has 10 schools
comprising 23 Departments, 7 Centres and 3
Constituent Colleges. It has 31 Affiliated Colleges
and 5 Evening Colleges situated in the districts of
Sivaganga and Ramanathapuram.
ABOUT SKILL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
An exclusive ‘Skill Development Centre’ is a
pioneering initiative by the Alagappa University
among the Universities of Tamil Nadu to
discharge its social responsibilities and
Community developments. In addition to the
B.Voc. courses, the Centre offers employable
short term training programmes in different fields
such as Fashion Designing, Sewing machine
Operation, Embroidery, DTP to create Industry
ready youth. Alagappa University-IL& FS Institute
of Skills (AU-IIS) functioning under Skill
Development Centre is India’s first skills institute
offering university recognized and NOS
compliant placement linked skill development
programmes, such as, CNC Machine Operator,
Electrician, Advanced Welding.
ABOUT B.Voc. COURSES
UGC has sanctioned Rs.185 lakhs to conduct
two specialized programmes I ). Fashion
Technology and II). Software Development under
NSQF during the academic year 2014-’15.
THEME OF THE CONFERENCE
The National Conference on Recent
Advancements in Software Development
(NCRASD – 2015) aims to bring together leading
academic researchers and industry personnel to
exchange and share their experiences,
observations, theoretical methods and
experimental results. It focuses on current and
emerging trends and practices in the field of
Software Development and bridges the gap
between theoretical and practical
implementation.
CALL FOR PAPERS
The papers must be original and unpublished
works. The full paper with abstracts, not
exceeding 300 words, should reach the
Organizing secretary on or before 12.03.2015
through
AUTHOR GUIDELINES
The text of the paper should be single column
A4 size in MS Word file, Times New Roman font
12 point size with 1.5 line spacing. Complete
Paper should not exceed six pages including
reference section. Full length paper should
contain Title of the paper in capital letters, Name
of the author with address, Abstract, Introduction,
Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusions
and References. A total of 7 minutes will be
allotted for each presentation. Abstracts of
selected and registered papers will be published
in the Conference souvenir.
