J Into the Deep: America, Whaling and the World Film & Discussion, Wednesday, March 25, 6:00 p.m. his film intertwines the history of whaling in New England, the saga of the whaleship Essex, and the subsequent role these two topics had on Melville’s crafting of the literary classic Moby Dick. Mystic Seaport’s Chris Freeman will introduce the film with a presentation of the 38th Voyage of the Charles W. Morgan.
