Operating Instructions (compact)
Description
The IFN AI-D could record up to six analog input signals. The
maximum sample frequency is 192 kHz per channel. The nodes will
be linked per bus system (IEEE1394), transfer rate up to 400 Mbps
to a higher lever industrial PC.
Installation
The product is designed for the application on a DIN Rail or for
mounting angles. Operating with vibration loading the device has to
be mounted with mounting angle. To avoid overheating the
minimum distances specified in the technical data must be adhered
to. Protective equipment and a disconnection unit for the device
must be provided.
Wiring
SHIELD: cross slot screwdriver size 2
Recommended tightening: approx. 3 Nm.
Commissioning (hardware)
1. Connect the IFN with a 24 V power supply. After a short LEDtest, the IFNs green PWR LED starts to blink.
2. Connect the IFN with the PC via a communication cable. If the
IFN is connected to the PC for the first time, Windows will
request a driver installation. To install the driver, follow the
instructions of the hardware assistant. The directory for the
drive installation is SIPLUS CMS4000\Drivers\IEEE1394.
3. After Windows has installed a driver for the IFN, the IFN can
be used with X-Tools. The yellow LNK LED of the IFN lights up
and the hardware installation is complete when the IFN is
connected to the PC, the driver is installed and X-Tools is
started.
Caution: In configurations with ION devices (ION PROFIBUS DP Spy T001, ION BINARYINPUT T001, RPN IEEE1394B) and IFN devices
(IFN VIB-A, IFN AI, IFN AI-D) in a common communication line, please notice the directives in the operation instruction.
