Fares and Ticket Revision
Stagecoach in Fife Sunday 5th April 2015
From Sunday 5th April 2015, there will be a fares and ticket revision affecting fares across the Stagecoach in
Fife network. Fares will increase by under 2%.
Our fares revision follows an annual review and is broadly in line with increasing staff costs resulting from
growth in the economy. Bus operator costs across Scotland are rising faster than the income generated
from people using the bus. There has been a real-terms cut to the reimbursement paid to bus operators
under the Scottish Government’s free concessionary bus travel scheme. Although we’ve had to revise many
of our fares, we’ve also frozen or reduced certain multi-journey tickets, as well as introducing a new zone
greatly benefiting those travelling within Central Fife.
Single Fares

Child fares will change in line with the adult fares and are generally half the adult fare rounded up to the
nearest 5p for single fares or 10p for return fares.

services X59 & X61 between Halbeath P&R and Edinburgh. The ticket may also be used on connecting
services between Dunfermline and Ferrytoll or Halbeath Park and Ride sites. Please note that customers
who use connecting services requiring a change will need a transfer ticket to carry out this journey and
should request one when purchasing their ticket from the driver.
