 Aim of the Camp
100 young ICT professionals from West Africa have an opportunity to advance their theoretical and practical knowledge in ICT during an Advanced ICT Training (AICTT) Camp, hosted in The Gambia. From 1st to 24th April 2015, the camp will put a special focus on local ICT challenges and opportunities in areas that are current and relevant, most especially, aligned with strategic priorities for public governance, private sector growth and entrepreneurship within the ICT sector of West Africa. AICTT Camp 2015 is an annual advanced ICT for Development training program organised by Ace Communications Executive Ltd in The Gambia. The training camp is the first of its kind and is designed for young male and female ICT professionals from West Africa between the ages of 23 to 35. AICTT Camp is targeting participants with low‐medium ICT sector knowledge and experience. The program strives to link young ICT professionals across the West African region in a global knowledge‐sharing platform to enhance regional integration. Throughout the three weeks of academic lectures, participants will not only gain the advancement they have been seeking in their field, but will also have the opportunity to foster relationships through a series of networking events, get‐togethers and excursions. Courses AICTT Camp 2015 is separated in a training and workshop phase. The intensive training phase is from April 2nd to 17thand all participants will be certified on April 18th. In an additional bonus week from April 20th to 24th the participants can develop own project ideas and new perspectives in the ICT sector. The concepts will be presented and discussed with various international academics and practitioners in a two day high panel workshop on 22nd and 23rd April. The selected courses for 2015 are: 
Geographic Information Service (GIS) & Data Management 
Cyber‐Security and Advanced Intrusion Protection 
Application Development & E‐commerce All training programs will be facilitated by highly experienced ICT lecturers and business leaders predominately from Africa with the belief of ensuring a wide representation of the African context. Camp Requirements All applicants purchasing a package should provide the following in order to apply: 1. All applicants must have:  A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an IT or ICT related field  At least two years of work experience in an ICT position/field  If not applicable, the participant should provide a diploma or advanced certificate in IT or ICT training, proof of at least two years of work experience in an ICT position/field (e.g. letter of recommendation) 2. Must be from an ECOWAS member state 3. Must be between the ages of 23 to 35 4. Must be fluent in speaking, reading and writing English 5. Must have a laptop that will be brought along when traveling to The Gambia 6. Must provide an updated CV/resume 7. Must provide proof of employment / self‐employment 8. Must have a valid passport 9. Must have a valid Yellow Book 10. Must highlight any personal health issues or indications Scholarship Requirements A scholarship program will allow 50 successful applicants to enjoy complimentary training and camp activities, feeding, flight transport to The Gambia (except Gambian scholarship awardees), accommodation (except Gambian scholarship awardees), and ground transportation to and from the training center each day. All scholarship participants must note that they will be financially responsible for all additional expenses pertaining to feeding, basic necessities, personal items, transportation and entrance to personal places of interest, etc. for the entire four weeks. Selected scholarship participants will be informed on 20th March 2015. All scholarship applicants should provide the following in order to apply: 1. Must be a citizen of Nigeria, Ghana or The Gambia 2. Female ICT professionals will be highly considered 3. All applicants must have 


