Coach Thompson just finished his fourth
season as the head boys basketball coach at
Hazen High School. Over the past two
seasons, Hazen has compiled an overall
record of 34-11, which is the most wins over
a two span since 1998 at Hazen. In his four
years at Hazen, Thompson has sent three
players on to play college basketball, all at a
scholarship level.
Prior to Hazen, Thompson spent three years
as an assistant mens basketball coach at
Jamestown College. In his last two seasons
as the top assistant, the Jimmies compiled a
41-20 overall record while being ranked in
the top 25 nationally both years, including a
Conference Tournament Championship and
a National Tournament appearance in 2010.
Before Thompson began coaching, he played
four years of college basketball at the
University of Wisconsin- River Falls and
Jamestown College. In his last three seasons
he ranked in the top ten nationally for assists
and three point shooting. In 2008, Thompson
helped guide the Jimmies to a Conference
Championship and a National Tournament
appearance.

Camp Mission Statement
This camp is designed for boys interested in
participating with Hazen Boys Basketball in the
future. The purpose of this camp is to expose
future players to similar skill development and
team development that we use with all of our
high school players and teams. This should be
a great opportunity for your child to get a head
start with our Hazen Boys Basketball and
Highlander Select programs.
