Radiation Safety Certification for Regularization of Radiation Therapy
Technologists 2015 (RS-RTT-2015)
This has reference to application received till March, 20 2015 by AERB against the circular
(AERB/RSD/RT/RT-Tech-Qualification/2012/500 dated 11 January, 2012) and directive issued
by Head, RSD, AERB on 17 July 2012 to attend the Safety Certification Program for
regularization of radiotherapy technologist, whose qualification is not in line with AERB
requirements (appended below). Based on the details provided by the candidates in the
application form, they have been allocated training centers for undergoing the RS-RTT course
2015 which is being organized by RP&AD, BARC in collaboration with the centre concerned.
Details of training centre, duration, and centre coordinator along with the list of the candidates
are mentioned below. Candidates are requested to contact the respective course coordinator
for further information.
General Information:
1. Candidates are requested to confirm their participation to the concerned centre
coordinator at the earliest possible but not later than April 15, 2015.
2. A candidate has to bring the requisite original certificates (10+2 in science, professional
qualification certificate and experience certificates) for verification prior to joining the
training program.
3. Each candidate has to fill up a declaration cum verification form (Annexure-1) prior to
joining the regularisation programme. The course coordinator of the centre concerned
will verify and authenticate the original certificates (10+2 in science, professional
qualification certificate and experience certificates issued by the institutions) of the
participants prior to inducting them for above said program. One set of duly attested
copies of the above mentioned certificates has to be submitted along with the
declaration cum verification form.
4. In case a candidate is unable to show the above mentioned original certificates, he
/she will not be permitted to attend the course.
5. Candidates are requested to download the declaration cum verification form
enclosed herewith and fill the desired information in advance to avoid unwanted
delay.
6. Course conducting institutions will not liable to provide any TA/DA and accommodation
during the training program. Candidates have to make their own arrangement for
attending the above mentioned training program. However, centre coordinator may be
requested for getting some help in arranging accommodation.
7. Allotted Training centre will not be changed in normal circumstances. However, in case
of genuine reasons, the request for the change of training centre may be considered. In

Note 1: Provisional list of candidates who will be eligible for regularization through radiation
safety certification program in the year 2016 will be intimated in due course of time.
Note 2: Candidates who wish to get enrolled in RT training programme and institutions
conducting RT training programme are advised to note the contents of the AERB directive dated
17/07/2012 regarding eligibility criteria for RT technologists. Candidates not fulfilling the
criteria will not be considered for regularization through safety certification programme and
will not be eligible to work as RT technologists in the country.
Therefore, Candidates who are interested to pursue radiotherapy technologist training
programme are advised to verify with the institution conducting the training programme and
enroll themselves only with those institutions whose training programme is in line with AERB
requirements. List of institutions conducting radiotherapy technologist training programme
whose course is in line with AERB requirements is available on our website.
