A plum blossom spot providing a panoramic view of Lake Toya.
Annual season：Mid May-Late May
Sobetsu Park & Plum Garden
There are about 300 plum trees planted on the hill where commands
the whole view of Lake Toya. Plum trees become in full blossom
around mid-May. Visitors can enjoy the spacious view of Lake Toya
or Mt. Yotei from the observation deck.

Higashi-Mokoto Phlox Park
Scenery that displays the charms of spring in Hokkaido. In an area
of some 80,000 square meters, phlox grows rampant, covering the
slopes with numerous tints, from dark red to the palest pink.
Entrance fee：500 yen for adults and 250 yen for children
through middle school.

Matsumae Castle
Its 10,000 cherry trees, of 250 varieties, bloom for almost a
month all around Matsumae Castle, Hokkaido s only
Japanese-style fortification. Because the many varieties of
cherry trees bloom at slightly different times the flower
viewing season is exceptionally long.

Hakodate Bus. 7 min on foot from Matsushiro bus stop.
