Designed and printed by the American Bank Note Co for use in province of Quebec to pay the 10% tobacco tax.
This is the complete set 2c, 3c, 5c, 10c, 15c, 20c and 25c in Very Fine Imperf pairs. Stamps shown at 1 1/2 times original size.
These are only known as PROOFS. Stamps were apparently printed, but have never been seen.

CANADA 1919 WAR SAVINGS CERTIFICATE
with one copy of FWS2 - $5 green affixed in position #1.
FWS2 was originally purchased for $4 and the value increased 1c per month and could be redeemed for $5 after January 1, 1924.
Rare stamp even RARER on this special savings card. Most of these were of course cashed due to the high face value.
