Get into summertime with Shreveport-Bossier’s hottest
festivities. The sister cities love to party and celebrate
everything from aircraft aerobatics and mouth-watering
crawfish to old-school music and blooming sunflowers.
Prepare for a head-turning aerobatic show at the
Barksdale Air Force Base Airshow, May 2-3. The airshow
will feature performers like the U.S. Navy Blue Angels
and a B-52 fly-by. Since 1933, the Barksdale Air Force
Base has been inviting the public to view its installations,
historical aircrafts, state-of-the-art jets and welcoming
people to show their support for the armed forces.

Memorial Day weekend, May 21-24, check out Louisiana’s
celebrated seafood and crawfish at the 31st Annual
Mudbug Madness Festival at Festival Plaza. There will
be plenty of zydeco music, delicious food and activities
for families to enjoy. The event is the premier crawfish
festival in the South and has been named an American
Bus Association Top 100 Event.
