* Call to Worship: based on Psalm 98
Sing a new song to the Lord, who has worked wonders,
whose right hand and holy arm have brought salvation.
The Lord has made known salvation;
has shown justice and truth and love to the nations;
All the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation of our God.
Shout to the Lord, all the earth,
sing out your joy.
Sing psalms to the Lord,
And acclaim Him as the King and the Lord.
* Opening Prayer
Joyful, all you people, sing before the LORD;
Shout and sing his praises now in glad accord;
With the harp and trumpet joyful praises bring;
Come, rejoice before him, God, the LORD, your King.
#185:1,2 (PH)
Each generation to the next shall testimony bear,
And to your praise, from age to age,
Your wondrous acts declare.
Upon your glorious majesty
And honor I will dwell,
And all your grand and glorious works
And greatness I will tell.
* indicates to stand if able
#288:1,4 (PH)
Take my silver and my gold;
Not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
Every power as thou shalt choose,
Every power as thou shalt choose.
with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—
shout for joy before the LORD, the King.
7
Let the sea resound, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it.
8
Let the rivers clap their hands,
let the mountains sing together for joy;
9
let them sing before the LORD,
for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples with equity.

* For Such a Time As This
A hymn of joy today we raise
For ministries and gifts,
For all the ways you bid us join
Your cloud of witnesses.
Evening Prayer
* Your Word Sheds Light Upon My Path
Your word sheds light upon my path;
A shining light, it guides my feet.
Your righteous judgments to observe,
My solemn vow I now repeat.
Your faithful life, O Christ, inspires;
Your brokenness makes whole;
Your resurrection calls us forth
And opens long-closed doors.
Your precepts are my heritage;
They make my heart and soul rejoice.
To keep your statutes faithfully
Shall ever be my willing choice.
* Scripture: Psalm 98 (NIV)
1
Sing to the LORD a new song,
for he has done marvelous things;
his right hand and his holy arm
have worked salvation for him.
2
The LORD has made his salvation known
and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
3
He has remembered his love
and his faithfulness to the house of Israel;
all the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation of our God.
4
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music;
5
make music to the LORD with the harp,
with the harp and the sound of singing,
6
This is the Word of the Lord.
Thanks be to God.

* Unto God Our Savior
#175:1,2 (PH)
Unto God our Savior sing a joyful song;
Wondrous are his doings, for his arm is strong.
He has wrought salvation, he has made it known,
And before the nations is his justice shown.
* I Will Extol You, O My God
I will extol you, O my God,
And praise you, O my King;
Yes, every day and evermore
Your praises I will sing.
Great is the Lord, our mighty God,
And greatly to be praised;
His greatness is unsearchable,
Above all glory raised.
* Take My Life and Let It Be
Take my life and let it be
Consecrated Lord, to thee.
Take my moments and my days;
Let them flow in endless praise,
Let them flow in endless praise.
pg. 630
Our world cries out to hear your name;
The church in mission risks
As men and women join
To serve for such a time as this.
* Profession of Faith: Heidelberg Catechism Q & A 86
Q. Since we have been delivered from our misery by
grace through Christ without any merit of our own,
why then should we do good works?
A. Because Christ, having redeemed us by his blood,
is also restoring us by his Spirit into his image,
so that with our whole lives
we may show that we are thankful to God
for his benefits,
so that he may be praised through us,
so that we may be assured of our faith by its fruits,
and so that by our godly living
our neighbors may be won over to Christ.
* God’s Blessing
God Has Done Great Things
Psalm 98
* Sing to the Lord, Sing His Praise
Tell of his wondrous works, tell of his glory
Till through the nations his name is revered.
Praise and exalt him, for he is almighty;
God over all, let the Lord be feared.
