services under the Central Government.
Percentage of marks are to be calculated as per
University/ Institution Rules in respect of
BE/B.Tech degree. The same is applicable to
other qualifications also.

Rules and as per the prescribed eligibility
criteria.

What is CBT?
CBT is the Computer Based Test. This is an
objective type test for shortlisting the candidates
for Interview.
There
will be 150 questions under three parts
Are there different parts in CBT? How
many questions will be asked and i.e. concerned subject of qualifying degree for
80 marks, General Awareness for 40 marks
what is the duration of the test?
and Aptitude Test (comprising of reading
comprehension, verbal / non-verbal reasoning,
numerical ability / quantitative aptitude / data
interpretation) for 30 marks. The duration of
the Test is 3 hours.
What is the language of the test?
The question and options will be bilingual (Both
English & Hindi).

Application Process?
REPLY
Yes. There is a single online registration portal
for candidates applying online for both GATE2015 based and CBT based posts.
All applicants have to register online only and
fill in their details in the online application
form.
A registration slip will be generated on
successful registration. Take a printout of this
registration slip and keep it in a safe place.
An E-Mail and a SMS will also be sent to the
registered E-Mail ID as well as the mobile
number intimating that you have registered
successfully.

The candidate can also view his registered data
by logging in using combination of his ONGC
Registration ID, date of birth and registered
email ID. After logging in, he can also take a
print out of his registration slip.

It is therefore, important to make the fee

slip at any time before the Admit cards are
issued. You can view your Registration Slip by
providing your ONGC Registration Number,
Date of Birth and registered E-Mail ID as
entered in online registration.
One has to essentially mention the same
name in your GATE application and application
to ONGC. In case, there is a mismatch in
names (including the way it is written) in
GATE / ONGC application with that of a
document like Class X / XII / Graduation
mark-sheet the onus will be on the candidate
to establish that both the persons are same.
You can enter your details again by using the
same GATE-2015 Registration number & GATE
Enrollment ID. The most recent application
with same registration number & enrolment id
will be taken into consideration.
