Transportation available from 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. To
schedule rides, call Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to noon.
Volunteers provide transportation for non-emergency
medical appointments, pharmacies, grocery stores,
farmers’ market and other essential errands. Five working
days’ notice is appreciated, but can schedule rides with
less notice. No cost. Must be 60 years of age or older.
Must be able to enter/exit vehicle independently; cane or
walker okay.
Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5
PM. Transportation available outside these hours,
including weekends and Holidays, by prior appointment

week (cancer patient must place request!). After hours call
800-227-2345. Volunteers provide transportation for cancer
patients to get to treatment and medical appointments, as
available. Four working days’ notice is required. Patients

Wheelchair & non-wheelchair (ambulatory)
transportation provided to individuals with any need
(doctor appointments, dialysis, social occasions, group
outings or any personal needs). All Drivers are certified
caregivers who are capable of assisting individuals
before, after and during transit. To The Rescue is a full
service home health care company with a well-trained
and caring staff available to assist a wide range of
needs.

free. 31 Day Passes: Adult $40, students, seniors,
disabled and income based program $20; 10 Ride Cards:
Adult $15.00, students, seniors, persons with disabilities
and income based program $7.50.

Transportation provided to area residents, 60 years of age
or older through partial funding from Heritage Area Agency
on Aging. The program provides transportation to seniors
to allow them to remain living in the community. There is
no cost to participants, please allow a four-day advance
notice when requesting services. Services are limited to
older adults living in Lisbon, Mount Vernon and the
surrounding communities.

Assistance is granted to eligible veterans by referral to the
Disabled American Veteran Transportation at the VA
Medical Center in Iowa City. Client must have a scheduled
appointment at the VAMC when they call. Ride
appointments can be made by calling 319-339-7061 or the
VAMC at 1-800-637-0128 and asking for the DAV van
office. Bus passes occasionally available to Cedar Rapids,

within the Cedar Rapids metro area. System requires
each ride request be entered before noon on the
business day preceding the ride. Annual fee and pre-paid
