Dear Fellow 4-Hers,
An amazing opportunity is coming this June for Missouri 4-H members. On
behalf of the State 4-H Council, I invite you to attend the 70th annual Missouri
State 4-H Congress on June 3-5 in Columbia. This event is designed to be the most
exciting three days of your summer, spent with hundreds of other 4-H members
from across the entire state.
This year’s State Congress theme is “Leadership All Stars – Rounding the
Bases of Leadership”. While having the time of your life, you will get to learn
about the benefits of leadership and how to sharpen your leadership skills. Then
you will learn how to take those skills home and hit a “home run” in your communities. Congress will allow plenty of time for you All-Stars to develop your skills,
plus ample time for meeting and getting to know new and interesting people.
One of the best parts of coming to Congress is staying on the campus of the
University of Missouri-Columbia, more commonly called Mizzou. Spending three
days on campus will give you a glimpse of the college experience. Furthermore, your
State 4-H Council team has been working non-stop all year to make sure this event
will be the best experience possible. Not only will you attend awesome thoughtprovoking workshops, but you will also have the chance to exercise your right to
vote. You and your fellow 4-Hers will decide who will make up the 2015-2016
Missouri State 4-H Council – your leadership team of officers and regional representatives.
So, this June, please attend the biggest meeting of All-Stars that Missouri 4-H
has ever seen. This is a great time for you to be among other 4-Hers who have the
same enthusiasm for 4-H as you do. I look forward to spending three excellent days
learning, laughing, dancing, and making memories that will last a lifetime. I thank
you for your commitment to 4-H. Be sure to register for the 70th annual Missouri
State 4-H Congress to be held June 3-5, and get ready for an All-Star experience. I’ll
see you there.
Yours Truly,
Trent Ludwig
President
