1. Protective helmets are to be worn by all exhibitors while riding.
Helmets must meet current ASTM/SEI equestrian standard.
2. Ages are defined as follows 14 and over – Seniors, 13 & under
Juniors. As of January 1, 2015. Walk/Trot are all ages.
3. Riders may share a horse as long as it is one rider per discipline.
4. There is no cross-entering between Walk-Jog and other age divisions.
Walk-Jog riders may not lope at any time during show.
5. Must be enrolled in a 4-H Horse Project, as a member.
6. Dress, tack, and performance per 4-H, WCHS, CGA, and rules will
be used during the horse show. We follow the rules of 4-H, WCHS,
CGA, and except were the Stanislaus County 4-H Horse Show rule state
otherwise. Stanislaus County 4-H Horse show rules available at
http://ucanr.edu/sites/Stanislaus4-H/files/173522.pdf, or upon request.

7. We have the right to combine or split classes as deemed necessary.
8. Showmanship, Horsemanship and over fences will have a draw order
of go.
9. Classes will be called in numerical order with the exception of Trail,
which will be worked “at will”.
10. Horses are to be tied to your trailer only.
12. Awards- Seniors, Junior, and walk/trot (jog) highpoint will receive
buckles. Over fence highpoint winners will receive saddle pads.
13. NO DOGS ALLOWED ON SHOW GROUNDS!
*Exhibitors must be accompanied by an adult and must have a Facilities
Release and 4-H Medical Release signed by a parent.

I acknowledge that horseback riding is a sport that carries the inherent risk of injury and damage to my horse, my property and myself. It
is a sport that is dangerous and unpredictable. I know that horses may buck, kick, rear, bite or make sudden movements that could cause
injury to the rider or any bystander. Additionally, I am riding at a boarding stable a competitive arena with cattle present. I acknowledge
that the boarding stable, pastures and arenas may have rocks, water, holes, tree branches or other obstacles. These areas also carry
inherent risks of injury to my horse and myself. I also knowingly and voluntarily accept the inherent risks of riding at a boarding stable. I
am voluntarily participating in these activities with the knowledge of the danger involved and hereby agree to assume any and all risks of
injury, whether known or unknown, associated with horses, horseback riding and the use of these facilities and surrounding areas.
I hereby release Shane Parson and Kim Parson, their families, employees and affiliations from all liability for any acts of negligence or
want of ordinary care on the part of Kim Parson or Shane Parson, their families, employees or any of their agents in consideration for the
ability to participate in events sponsored or organized by Shane Parson or Kim Parson or the use of the Diamond Bar Arena facilities and
property.
In consideration for being permitted by Shane Parson and/or Kim Parson, their families, employees or any of their agents to participate in
these activities and use of their facilities, I hereby agree that I, my assignees, heirs, distributes, guardians and legal representatives will
not make a claim against, sue, or attach the property of Shane Parson and/or Kim Parson, their families, employees or any of their
affiliations, for injury or damage how so ever caused as a result of my participation in horseback riding, use of the facilities and
surrounding areas.
I expressly waive any rights I may have under California Civil Code 1542, which states:” A general release does not extend to claims
which the creditor does not know or suspect exist in his favor at the time of executing the release, which if known by him might have
materially affected his settlement with the debtor.”
I agree that I will indemnify and hold harmless Shane Parson and Kim Parson, their families, employees, agents and affiliates against all
claims, demands, and causes of action including court costs and actual attorney fees arising from any proceeding or lawsuits brought by
or prosecuted for any benefit in which this release is upheld.
Shane and Kim Parson, their families, employees or any of their agents shall not be liable for any damage which may accrue from any
cause or as a result of fire, theft, running away, state of health, injury to person, horse or property.
I acknowledge that I have read this Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability and know and understand its contents.
