Over her 12 years with the firm, Sarah has held many different positions at the firm including Analytics, Terminal Sales, Recruitment, Operations and Marketing. Sarah currently manages Global University Relations for Bloomberg Institute, the educational division of Bloomberg. Sarah holds a BA from Columbia University in Economics and is based in San Francisco. ROBERT H. SCOTT III, PH.D. is Associate Professor of Economics and Finance at Monmouth University. He has published articles on topics such as credit cards, consumer debt, bankruptcy reform and financial literacy. In 2009 he received a grant from the Kauffman Foundation to study the effects of different financing strategies on the success of new small businesses. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Economic Issues. His work has been featured in the LA Times, San Francisco Chronicle, National Journal, Star-Ledger, Cincinnati Enquirer, Entrepreneurship.org, Yahoo! News, and Bloomberg BusinessWeek. DR. ADAM Y.C. LEI, CFA, PH.D. is the Bridwell Distinguished Professor of Finance at the Dillard College of Business Administration, Midwestern State University. Dr. Lei has taught at Louisiana State University prior to joining Midwestern State University in 2005. He received his Ph.D. and MS degrees in finance from Louisiana State University, MBA degree from National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan, and bachelor degree in industrial management from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. He also holds the CFA designation since 2009. Dr. Lei’s research interests include investments, market efficiency, and market microstructure. He has published in academic journals including the Journal of Banking and Finance, Managerial Finance, Financial Services Review, and the Journal of Economics and Finance Education. PAUL LAUX is Professor of Finance in the Lerner College of Business and Economics and J.P. Morgan Chase Faculty Scholar in the Institute for Financial Services Analytics at the University of Delaware. For the past four years he has also held a secondary faculty appointment at Lisbon University Institute in Portugal as Professor Catedrático Convidado. He earned the Ph.D. degree from Vanderbilt University, and has previously served on the finance faculties of The University of Texas and Case Western Reserve University. He has also served on the Law School faculty at Case Western, as an economist at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, as Finance Department Chairperson at the University of Delaware, and as MBA Program Director at Case Western Reserve University. His research interests are in the areas of corporate finance, corporate governance, and financial markets. His research has appeared in The Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Journal of Financial Intermediation, the Financial Analysts Journal, and Financial Management, among others. Professor Laux has taught finance extensively in developing European countries (Bosnia, Hungary, and Portugal), and has been the recipient of two Fulbright grants. His consulting work has served clients such as the Nasdaq Stock Market, the Sydney Futures Exchange, Equiserve, the Chicago Stock Exchange, and a large currency and interest rate risk management consultancy. RUSTY YERKES is Assistant Professor of Finance with Samford University’s Brock School of Business where he teaches MBA and undergraduate finance courses. His research interests are in corporate governance and securities regulation. Prior to joining Samford, he was Assistant Professor of Finance at Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received a PhD in Finance from the University of Alabama, MBA in Finance from Auburn University Montgomery, and BS in Economics and Operations Research from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. He served on active duty from until 2001 where he worked in supply chain management and as Assistant Professor of Economics at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Following active duty service, he worked as a portfolio manager with a Birmingham, AL based registered investment adviser. While there he managed portfolios for trust, non-‐profit, foundation, endowment, pension, and high net worth clients and served as chairman of the asset allocation committee and a member of the investment strategy committee. Rusty holds the Chartered Financial Analyst(CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified Financial Planner(CFP), and Certified Treasury Professional(CTP) designations and serves on the board of the CFA Society of Alabama and the Alabama Association for Financial Professionals. Rusty is married with three daughters and enjoys all things soccer. ROB LANGRICK is the Head of Bloomberg Institute and designer of the Bloomberg Market Concepts module. He began his career as a banker at Morgan Stanley and an Equity Analyst at HSBC and Cazenove in London. He moved to the US in 2004 for business school and joined Bloomberg after three years as a Case Team Leader at Bain & Co in New York. He founded and wrote the business plan for Bloomberg Institute in 2009. He holds a Law degree from The University of Nottingham, an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and is a CFA charter holder. DAVID ALLEN, PH.D., is an Associate Professor of Finance at Northern Arizona University, where he has taught since 1988. He is a leading innovator in bringing technology into the classroom and has made numerous presentations on the topic at the Financial Education Association’s annual conference. He oversees the Student Managed Investment Fund at the W. A. Franke College of Business, which currently manages a $2 million portfolio for the NAU Foundation. R. STAFFORD JOHNSON is Professor of Finance at the Williams College of Business, Xavier University. He is the author of six books: Options and Futures, Introduction to Derivatives, two editions of Bond Evaluation, Selection, and Management, Debt Markets and Analysis, and Equity Markets and Portfolio Analysis. He has also authored or co-authored over 50 academic articles. His Equity Markets and Portfolio Analysis and Debt Markets and Analysis texts are core equity and fixed-income investment books that cover extensively the functionality of Bloomberg terminals and its applicability to investments.
