Grant value: $391,443.15, 2-year study, P.I.: Gordon Kingsley
• Conducted more than 40 hours of ethnographic, observational fieldwork per week, by
working onsite with public administrators in the Georgia Department of Transportation.
• Reported on the study’s research design, and progress in implementation, to agency
leadership, including the chief engineer, in GDOT and faculty at Georgia Tech.
• Contributed to monthly meetings with senior leadership of GDOT to advise on
knowledge retention strategies for mitigating the impacts of employee retirements.
• Designed and administered surveys to more than 800 professionals in the Georgia State
Department of Transportation (GDOT), with an average response rate of 41%.
• Developed and led workshops on theory-driven approaches to knowledge management
for public administrators from two communities of practice within the agency.
• Analyzed survey data with regression analysis in SPSS, and analyzed interview
transcripts through content analysis in NVivo with faculty at Georgia Tech.

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE
Over 5 years’ experience managing staff, projects, grants, and donor relations in international
nonprofit management. This work involved writing and reporting on multi-year grants, and
traveling to field offices in seven different countries (Belarus, Egypt, Lithuania, Paraguay,
Romania, South Africa, Ukraine) to coordinate international training and education programs
funded by the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Department of Education.
