Venue & Date The Lion Cubs Golf Championship 2015 shall be played at Mandai Executive Golf Course on 21, 22 & 23 July 2015. 3. Qualifications The Lions Cubs Golf Championship 2015 is open to all full time Primary School Students 13 years old and below (as at 31 December 2015 / born in 2002 or later) with a Proficiency Certificate (PC) or a USGA Handicap Index for Boys (HCP Index @ 10.0 and above as of 1 May 2015) and Girls (HCP Index of 10.0 and above as of 1 May 2015). Important Note: a) All participants below 9 years old are required to submit Parental Consent Form together with the Entry Form. b) All PC and Handicaps has to be issued by SGA affiliated clubs. 4. Size of Field The field will be limited to a maximum of 250 players for both PC and Handicap holders on a first come first served basis. 5. Entry Forms a) All entries must be made on Entry Form (By School) or Entry Form (By Individual), accompanied by the following: i. Payment (in Cash/Cheque/IFASS/NETS). IFASS only applicable for submission by School. ii. Photocopy of Handicap or PC card iii. Copy of Golf Insurance iv. Parental Consent Form (for participants below 9 years old) v. Golf Insurance Application Form (for those without any golf insurance) vi. Team Submission Form (for Handicap Division only. Payment (in Cash/Cheque/IFASS/NETS) and all necessary supporting documents are received ii. Teacher-In-Charge or Parent/Guardian receives an acknowledgement email from the Lion Cubs Golf Facilitator on the entry/entries received within 3 working days. e) The Lion Cubs Golf Facilitator will send an acknowledgement email to the respective Teacher-InCharge or Parent/Guardian on the entries received within 3 working days. Teacher-In-Charge/Parent/Guardian a) All participants must be accompanied by their School Teacher or Guardian/Parent who shall remain with the team throughout the duration of play. Entry Conditions and Closing Date The OC reserves the right to accept, limit or reject entries and to adjust the handicap range and stroke index of each division. All entries made on official Entry form (accompanied by the indicated supporting documents) must reach Organiser’s Office by closing date, 17 Jun 2015 (Wed) by 1600 hrs. Late entries will NOT be accepted. Entry forms without payment will NOT be accepted. 8. Entry Fee PC Division – S$125.00 per golfer Handicap Division – S$170.00 per golfer, including lunch on the final day Entry forms are to be submitted to and payment (for both entry fees & Golfer’s Insurance) to be made in favour of Honshin Golf Pte Ltd 9. Withdrawal and No Show The entry fee will not be refunded for any withdrawal after registration or No Show on the competition day. 10. Format of Play The competition shall consist of 1 round of 9-holes for PC Division and 2 rounds of 9-holes for Handicap Division PC Division Entry Fees: S$125.00 Division C (Age 11 – 13 years old) (Boys/Girls) will tee off from the Competition Tee-Box Division D (Age 7 – 10 years old) (Boys/Girls) will tee off from the Competition Tee-Box Handicap Division Entry Fees: S$170.00 (Handicap index 10.0 and above) - Boys will tee off from the Blue Tee-Box (Handicap index 10.0 and above) - Girls will tee off from the White Tee-Box Organised by: Supported by: Conditions of Competition Page 3 of 6 Lion Cubs Golf Championship 2015 @ National Level 11. Schedule of Competition The tournament is based on a single round of 9-holes for PC Division and 2 rounds of 9-holes for Handicap Division. PC Division Division C (Boys/Girls) 21 July or 22 July Division D (Boys/Girls) 21 July or 22 July Handicap Division Handicap (Boys/Girls) - Round 1 Handicap (Boys/Girls) - Round 2 22 July 23 July 12. Flight Assistants and Recording of Scores Flight Assistants will be assigned to each flight to record the scores. After completion of the round, the participant is required to: a) check hole by hole score for accuracy b) settle any doubtful points with Flight Assistants c) sign the score card d) hand the score card to Flight Assistant. Submission of score cards to the scoring officials is strictly by Flight Assistants only 13. Protest & Decision Any dispute or protest must be made to the Tournament Director before submitting the score card and should be brought up by the Teacher-In-Charge/Parent/Guardian only. In the absence of a referee, any dispute or doubt on the Rules must be raised to the Tournament Director before submission of the score card. The decision of the Tournament Director shall be final. 14. Starting Times Participants shall start at the time and in the order indicated in the draw list. No substitution of the participant and changes of starting times shall be permitted after the draw has been made. All participants must register at the registration counter 1 hour before tee-off time. If any participant fails to report at the starting time (shotgun start), he/she shall be disqualified. 15. Dress Code All participants must be dressed in proper golf attire and wear golf shoes with soft spikes. 16. Trolleys All Handicap and PC participants will carry their own golf bags or use hand-drawn trolleys. Note: Parents, relatives, coaches, teachers or friends WILL NOT be allowed on the golf course. Inclement Weather and Suspension of Play In the event of inclement of weather, the Tournament Director reserves the right to fix/alter the starting times or cancel any round. 19. Practice Round Participants can make their own arrangement with Mandai Executive Golf Course golf booking department directly at Tel: 6456 6533 (MEGC Golfing Office) for practice sessions. Practice sessions are subject to the terms and conditions of Mandai Executive Golf Course. 20. Awards PC Division Handicap Division Maximum stroke: PAR 3 - 7 PAR 4 - 9 Stroke Play In the event of a tie for the champion in the Handicap Division, the golfers shall continue to play off, hole by hole, until the winner is decided by elimination. In the event of a tie for any other position, winner will be determined by matching scorecards on the basis of the best score for the last 6 holes. If the tying players have the same score for the last 6 holes, the winner will then be based on the score for the last 3 holes, and finally the 9th hole. If the tie is still unresolved, the result shall be decided over the score of the first round, failing which the last 6 holes, the last 3 holes and finally the 9th hole. If the tie then be still unresolved, the result shall be decided by counting back hole-by-hole, starting with the last hole of the second round.
