4.0.ELIGIBILITY
4.1.Nationality: The applicant for admission should be a resident Indian national/resident of SAARC
member country.
4.2.Qualification Examination:
Candidates appearing for AAST-2015 should have either completed 10+2 or its equivalent or shall be
appearing in 2015. Candidate should have secured an aggregate of 45 % (40% in Case SC Candidate) in
Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject along with any one of Chemistry, Computer Science.
4.3. Additional Information:
It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the requisite eligibility
Appearance for the written test/counseling /personal interview does not necessarily mean
acceptance of the eligibility.
The admission offered to a candidate who has been provisionally admitted to the B.Tech.
Programme will stand canceled if he/she dose not submit the original relevant document to AIT
office within seven days of as provisional admission.
Admission to various programmes will however be subject to verification of facts from the original
certificate/documents of the candidate. In case any discrepancy should arise, even at a later point of
time after admission, the management reserves all right to cancel the candidate's admission and this
decision shall be final.
4.4 Age Limit:
Candidates whose date of birth on or after 1st July 1990 are eligible to apply AAST-2015. The date of birth
as recorded in the High School/SSC/Xth Certificate will be considered authentic. Candidates should
produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of admission, failing which they will be
disqualified.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The admission in 4 year B.Tech programme will be purely on the basis of scores secured in the
AAST-2015
·
The candidates will be short-listed in scholarship based on their AAST-2015 score and will be
called for the counseling /personal interview.

The question paper for (AAST-2015) will contain 3 [Three] parts as indicated below. All Question
will be of objective type

PART-3- CHEMISTRY
Part -1 has 40 Questions, part -2 has 30 Questions and part-3 has 30 questions. Each question
carries one mark.
Each question is followed by 4 alternative answers. The candidates will have to choose the correct
answer and shade against the appropriate choice in the OMR Response sheet provided, strictly
adhering to the instructions.
No negative marks for wrong answers.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS PERTAINING TO (AAST-2015)
The examination room/hall will be opened 30 minutes before the commencement of the test.
Candidates should take their seat immediately after the opening of the examination hall. If the
candidates do not report on time, they are likely to miss the General instruction given in the
Examination Hall.

Admit Card Should Be kept safely and brought to the examination. It should be produced on demand.
A candidate who does not possess the Admit card shall not be permitted for the examination.
Candidate will be permitted to enter the examination Hall only on the verification of Admit card.
The Registration number (as given in the Admit card) should be entered in the specified place in the
response sheet.
·
Candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination hall after 11 a.m.
·
Candidates will not be permitted to leave the examination hall before 12.30p.m
·
Each candidate will be allotted a seat indicating his or her Registration Number. The candidate should
find out and occupy the allotted seat. If this is not done his/her candidature shall be cancelled.
·
The test will start exactly at 10:30 a.m and an announcement to this effect will be made by the
invigilator.
·
During the examination time the invigilator will check the admit card to verify the identity of each
candidate. The invigilator will also sign in the place provided in the response sheet.
·
Candidates should carefully go through and strictly adhere to all the instructions given in the OMR
response sheet before they begin.
·
The candidates should bring their own black ball-point pen of good quality.
·
Candidates should shade the correct response against each question in the OMR response sheet
only with a black ball-point pen.
A signal will be given at the beginning of the examination and at half time.
A signal will also be given before the closing time, when the candidate must stop marking the
answers.
·
The candidates should sign in the attendance sheet at appropriate places.
·
The admit card should be preserved and produced for verification at the time of admission.
·
Violation of any instruction and adoption of any unfair means in the examination hall will make the
candidate ineligible for admission.

form for the AAST-2015 will be available in all authorized Bookshops & selective branches of local office of
Adesh by paying Rs.125/- cash(Rs.50 for SC/ST). Application form can also be downloaded from Institute’s
website (www.aitgharuan.in) and send to the office of Controller of examination, Adesh Institute of
Technology, Gharuan, Tehsil Kharar, Distt.Mohali, Punjab -143416 along with a demand Draft Rs. 125/(Rs.50 In case of SC/ST) in favour of Adesh Institute of Technology, Gharuan, payable at Chandigarh.

INFORMATION AT DIFFERENT STAGES
For the benefit of the candidates, the following arrangements have been made to inform the status of the
application, venue of the entrance examination and results once the application is received at examination
office at college, a message will be sent by e-mail/SMS to the candidate stating that their application of
AAST-2015 has been received at Exam office. Once the Admit card is processed, this information will also
be sent by E-mail/SMS to the candidates mentioning their Registration Number and the Examination Center.
This information can also be viewed through the website of AIT. ( www.aitgharuan.in)
Once the rank is published, a message will be sent by SMS mentioning the date, time & venue for
participating counseling / personal interview as well as the rank card will be dispatched to the candidates
address through post with all details & also in the above college website.

11.
TEST CENTRES OF AAST-2015
NOTE: The detail address of the center will be sent along with Admit Card. The Center of Examination
once allotted to the candidates shall not be changed. Any request pertaining to this will be entertained only
on special occasion. While every effort will be made to allot a center in the test city opted by the candidate,
AAST-2015. Management reserves the right to change or cancel any test center at its discretion.
12.
ADMIT CARD
12.1. IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
·
The admit card will be issued only to those eligible candidates who have submitted their application
forms complete in all respects by Speed post on or before the last date.
·
Candidates must not tamper the Admit Card.
·
The admit card will contain your name, registration number, photograph, signature, address, address
of your test center, test schedule and a set of instructions for you to read carefully and prepare
accordingly for the test.
·
Admit card will also be issued to the student at given E-mail also.
·
The Admit card once received should be carefully examined by the candidate. Any discrepancy as
such should immediately be brought to the notice of the Exam Office.
12.2. Duplicate Admit card:
In case a candidate does not receive the Admit card before 3 days of entrance examination, he/she
can collect duplicate admit card / Hall Ticket from Exam office. If there be any trouble in this process, h e / s h e
should report the same immediate to the Head Office / Director regarding duplicate Admit card by Mail to
[email protected] He/she would have to meet AAST-2015 Representative one day before the
examination at the center with a copy of the application form and two pass-port size photographs
attested.
13. RESULTS
A Rank List will be prepared based on the total marks secured in the AAST-2015 and the result will be
published in the college website.

intimated through Speed Post, E-mail and SMS (if you have provided your correct postal address in the

17.
COUNSELLING/PERSONAL INTERVIEW
17.1. Counseling / Personal Interview procedure for the allocation of Seats / Branch:
The counseling/Personal Interview for allocation of branches to the short-Listed candidates is based
on their results in AAST-2015. To take care of possible absentees, the number of qualified
candidates is kept more than the number of seats available. The fact that a candidate has been called
for and the counseling / personal interview does not guarantee admission to him/her. This will depend
upon the candidates rank in the entrance Examination and availability of seats.
Change of date / time of Counseling / personal Interview is generally not permissible. If a candidate
personally appear before the admission committee for counseling/ personal interview date & time
specified, his /her seat shall be offered to the next candidate in order merit list.
17.2. Submission of documents at the time of Counseling/ Personal interview:
The candidate should produce the following documents with two-sets of photocopies while appearing
for counseling/personal Interview. Candidate will not be allowed to participate in the
counseling/personal Interview process without these documents (in original).

18. SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION

All the above referred documents shall be handed over to the Exam Office at the time of admission.
19. Payment of Fees/ Balance Fees
All the remittances for confirmation of admission & balance fees will be collected by demand draft in
the favour of Adesh Institute of Technology, Gharuan payable at Chandigarh.
The balance fee in form of DEMAND DRAFT with a covering letter should reach the college office on
the date specified in the provisional admission card. The candidates should write their Name, Rank
and the Branch allotted on the reverse of the DD.
20. GENERAL DISCIPLINE
All candidates admitted to the institute shall maintain good conduct, pay the requisite tuition fees and
other charges by due dates, attend their classes regularly and abide by the rules and regulations of
the Institute. If at any point of time, the conduct and character of a candidate is not satisfactory or is of
a suspicious nature, management reserves the right, without assigning any reason, to make him/her
vacate the hostel or expel him/her from the institution.
20.1. Measures for prevention of ragging at the institute level:
Ragging is totally prohibited in the institution, and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting
ragging, whether actively or passively, or being a part of a conspiracy to promote ragging, is liable to
be punished in accordance with these Regulations as well as under the provisions of any penal law for
the time being in force. Ragging juniors in any form is forbidden. If any one is found in ragging his/her
juniors, he/she can be rusticate from the institute and liable for criminal proceeding as per Indian
Govt. rules.

21.
HOSTEL
21.1. Hostel Accommodation:
Hostel room accommodation will be available for all students. The allocation of rooms will be done
after the admission. The type of accommodation will be 1/3 persons per room.
21.2. Reporting to the Hostel:
Admission to the hostel is only after payment of the prescribed tuition and hostel fees in full
Candidates will be allowed to join the hostel, two days before the date of commencement of the
programme.
Parent/Guardian along with the candidate should submit an undertaking to the hostel office that the
rules and regulations of the hostel will be followed without any violation.

23.
Instructions for completing the application form
Read the instructions carefully before filling in the Application Form.
It is suggested that the candidate make a photocopy of the form and use it for practice. ONLY
ORIGINAL APPLICATION FORM SHOULD BE SENT.
Fill the application form in CAPITAL LETTERS only. Do not put any stray pencil marks anywhere on
the application form.
Your photograph, signature and address are to be machine-scanned. The machine recognizes
only quality images. You are therefore to paste a good quality colour photograph with light colour
background taken not more than two month earlier, and write your address and signature in black
ball point pen only.
Please note down the application number for further reference.
