playing out on the world stage in this interactive class.
A lively, moderated discussion will follow the
introduction of a different topic every week. This class
is offered in partnership with the ASM Dept. of the
Montclair Public Library.
the MILL
The Montclair Institute for Lifelong Learning is part
of Lifelong Montclair’s aging in place initiative and is
funded by the Partners for Health Foundation. The
MILL is a collaborative effort by the Montclair Public
Library and its Adult School of Montclair Department,
the Montclair Art Museum, the Montclair Historical
Society, Montclair State University and community
seniors.
The Goal of the MILL is to foster opportunities for
in-depth, high-level learning and socialization for
Montclair’s 55+ adults through classes offered over six
weeks at different locations. These classes are free of
charge but registration is required through the ASM
Dept of the Montclair Public Library.
wLooking at the Modern Masters
wPoems as Prompts:
Poetry Writing Workshop NEW
Walking meditation is the practice of cultivating
mindfulness (awareness and presence) while the body
is in motion, leading to increased vitality and tranquility
and deepening meditative skill. All levels are welcome.
Homework, in the form of meditative exercises, will be
discussed each week. This class is offered in partnership
with the ASM Dept. of the Montclair Public Library.
Special Note: You can bring music and headphones or
listen to the sounds of nature. Please wear comfortable
shoes for walking that offer ankle support. Shoes with
wedges or heels are not recommended.
