Join us in Apalachicola, Florida, for the 2015-Southern Pasture and Forage Crop
Improvement Conference! The meeting will include professional presentations and an exciting
tour of agriculture enterprises in the Florida panhandle.
Hotel Information:
You will find hotel information on the second page. Since Apalachicola is a relatively small
port town, there are not many large hotels. Thirty rooms were blocked at the Gibson Inn, but
there is a host of hotels and Inns available nearby for additional accommodation.
Conference Meeting Location:
Conference check-in and in-house sessions will be held at the Apalachicola Community
Center, 1 Bay Avenue Apalachicola, FL 32320. This building is located in Battery Park near the
tall overpass; it does not show yet on Google Maps or similar.

Accommodations include quaint historic bed & breakfast inns or modern hotels with all the
amenities. If staying at places other than Gibson Inn, be sure to ask if there is an off-season
discount. Some may provide a small discount.

Gibson Inn (850) 653-2191; 51 Avenue C. Victorian atmosphere. About 30 rooms were
blocked for SPFCIC. Just tell them that you are with “Southern Pastures”.

Best Western, Apalach Inn (1.3 mi) (800) 528-1234; 249 US Highway 98. Newly
renovated and likely your most economic choice.

Apalachicola River Inn (0.1 mi) (850) 653-8139; 123 Water Street. Both inside and
outside spaces available on the beautiful Apalachicola River.

Coombs House Inn (0.2 mi) (888) 244-8320; 80 6th Street. Turn of the century décor
with modern amenities. Each room has its own luxurious bath (seven with Jacuzzis),
cable television, telephone and wireless internet, in room Starbuck's coffee, robes,
bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas. Inn guest enjoy complimentary gourmet breakfast
and weekend wine and cheese receptions.

Water Street Hotel & Marina (0.6 mi) (888) 211-9239; 329 Water Street. Suites (full
kitchen) beginning at $139 to $149 per night.

Blue Moon of Apalachicola (0.1 mi) (404) 550-5110 9 Avenue C (Leslie Street). Sleeps 2
to 10, Romantic or Rambling, Bikes and or Golf Carts Available. A two night minimum is
required
There are additional locations in Apalachicola, as well as in nearby towns (St. George Island, Eastpoint,
Port St. Joe), but there will be driving required.
